In two weeks it will be an election in France, so it is more empty talks to win it.
4 gone from Ireland, i wonder if the ambassador is one of them?
So the'll be down to 26. Still 2 for every toilet they wanted to install in their totally innocent underground "storage area".
No he wasn't.
Bye bye ya cnuts, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
The country wasn't as split as it wasn't as it was made out to be ,most people were just repeating the Russians propaganda that the country was divided down the middle of east and west ,it absolutely wasn't there was no history of Separatism until the Russians invaded Crimea and eastern Ukraine and installed fsb agents to positions of power in the area backed up by Russian troops, they repeatedly tried to force passportisation of Russian citizens and the majority turned down free Russian passports for Ukrainian one's, even in Donbas the majority of people are Ukrainian passport holders ,
With the Ukrainians reckoning Russias losses at 17,200 dead, that's a paltry 1.1b
"A Russian commander killed himself after finding all but one of his unit’s tanks were completely stripped of crucial parts, according to Ukraine’s military.
The Land Forces of Ukraine said that invading forces have suffered such heavy losses that their units have been forced to get new military equipment from long-term storage at an airport just 21 miles from the border.
“The condition of this equipment is mostly extremely unsatisfactory, which makes its full use impossible,” the Ukrainian force said on Telegram.
Russia’s 4th Panzer Division “found out that out of 10 ‘canned’ tanks, only one is in a more or less operational condition. The rest are completely dismantled. Some of them don’t even have engines!” the Ukrainian forces claimed.
“According to available information, the commander of the 13th Panzer Regiment of the 4th Panzer Division of the Russian Federation shot himself,” the message said."
And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust...
Shows you why they don't want the bodies back . They can pretend they are missing or POW. Anyone that makes it back to their village costs them money and morale at home
Hopefully Russian back to Moscow
Macron proving again that there is no situation so dire that it can't be made even worse by French assistance
A BBC investigation yesterday by their Russian speaking division found evidence that the authorities are doing everything to try and cover up Russian troop deaths - threatening journalists and local government officials not to say anything, paying off the families etc.
The Ukrainian estimate is always going to be very much the high watermark, but even if you'd told me back in Feb that Russia would lose even half that number a month in, I'd have thought it an awful lot. If you take NATO's estimates that Russia's total casualties could be as high as 40,000 troops, then their initial invasion force no longer looks so sizable. What the hell are Russia's casualties going to be if this goes a month longer? I can well understand that the progression of such things is not totally linear, but I'm not really seeing how Russia's situation particularly improves without them radically changing something or, really, a lot of somethings.
Putin paying out on dead soldiers who were killed in "training accidents" is not new.
Part of the terms use be their funerals took place before dawn and families couldn't tell anyone.
Four officials at Russian Embassy asked to leave State (rte.ie)
The real question is, why were they allowed to continue having 31 or so accredited 'diplomats' at the embassy, when there are very few Russians in Ireland, well out of line with other embassies.
We know what they are up to.
Why a Russian embassy expansion alarmed the Government (rte.ie)
Amazing how gullible people are about propaganda when it comes from the good guys.
The Russian embassy here apparently has more "officials" than the one in London or most of Europe I read somewhere before.
Russians diplomats asked nicely to leave rather than expelled
'kin hell, the size they were looking to expand the embassy to! 😲
"The Russians wanted to build a major compound with a major, underground subterranean complex," Cathal Berry TD, a former Army Ranger officer, told Prime Time.
That’s despite the 5.5 acre site having "plenty of room" to build above ground.
The basement, which was labeled on the planning application for storage and plant use, looked more like a "nerve centre" of the operation, according to Mr Berry.
"There's 20 storage rooms, ten power plant rooms, and four rooms with no description, which are called voids. The plans also included the provision of 13 toilets in the basement, which is considered unusual for a storage area."
This is what happens when your country is corrupt from top to bottom. Putin has only himself to thank for this. He's been in power all this time and instead of doing something about it, he's been setting the tone with corrupt practices all over the place. The fish stinks from the head.
Before this war I would have agreed with you but just from the initials stages and the state of some of the kit they sent to war that story is highly plausible (apart from the suicide part). If their active kit was sent to war with dodgy tires and in general poorly maintained state you can only imagine the condition of the reserve kit and not be surprised that it had been gutted to be sold as spare parts. It looks like the whole Russian military was on the take or grifting one way or another.
Well if we're about to be nuked we know who definitely has a bunker 😉
And who'll be directing the strike, as well as running the GRU operations
Russian embassy = hostile enemy operations center in your country
Because Russia aren't going to invade them whenever it suits at any point in the future? How exactly is Ukrainian neutrality going to guarantee their security without guarantors who are not lying sacks of horse manure like Russia?
I hear Mickey D's bunker has a round green door in the front ;)
Just to give an idea of the level of grift in Russia just look at the cost of the Sochi Winter Olympics which was estimated to have cost just under $60 billion!
The previous one in Vancouver cost $8.9 billion and the one just finished in China was an estimated $15.4 billion.
I mean just because it's unlikely to work doesn't mean he shouldn't try. Putin keeps talking to Macron which is more than can be said for every other NATO and/or European leader with the exception of Erdoğan (who let's be honest is very much a fringe figure in both contexts).
Let Macron take the softly softly approach if it might help; I don't see how it can hurt any of the other efforts ongoing to put a stop to the conflict.
Yep. Ireland is a soft touch, a handy training centre for aspiring spies, an easy way to get inside the EU.
The Irish times reported "A significant proportion of the Garda’s Security and Intelligence unit is tasked with monitoring suspected Russian intelligence agents operating out of the embassy."
so why are we even tolerating more than 3 or 4 of them there.
I think if we go to nuclear war,we wont need green parties or politicians worrying about global warming atleast
Except many of the claims made by Ukraine have eventually been proven true; albeit when reporting numbers they're generally way too optimistic with their figures.
Many conversations made via unencrypted channels are intercepted by NATO and Ukraine and that's how they learned of for e.g. the positions and confirmed deaths of the various generals.
