I'll never think of The Elephant Man in the same way again.
Just now on FR 24 there is a Swedish Gulfstream IV at 38,000 feet flying a long North-South pattern up and down about 50+kms from the Poland-Belarus border, a bit like Rivet Joint flights. Seems unusual. Any more info? (sorry can't post images).
Because Ukraine is fighting fascists from your country to protect their motherland? русский военный корабль, иди на хуй!
Sadly we've taken our time to do so. Better late than never.
Russian sympathisers and bots have pushed the "West created the Ukraine war" Kremlin spin, but in the case of China the West very much did help create that monster and gutted our manufacturing base and the jobs in it while we were at it. Just to line the pockets of already obscenely wealthy men. If covid didn't wake us up to the crazy situation where we had to pay billions to China for PPE over a calamity they created*, this Russian war and our over reliance on their oil and gas should permanently remove our collective snooze button.
*either by their medieval food production or a lab fridge falling open.
If the Ruskies weren't terrified before, they probably are now. At first they were thought to be just mindless predators that occasionally got lucky with an easy kill, but new footage suggests that they are in fact highly intelligent, and are now hunting in packs and actively cooperating in securing more difficult prey. The most important question now, is how fast do they breed?
Jeepers, this thread is fast turning into 'the aviators guide to aircraft and all that kind of thing' interesting stuff all the same.
Give it to Ukraine when this is over - to rebuild
That is the Swedish Airforce Gulfstream S102B Korpen electronic intelligence (ELINT) plane.
If understand this correctly, we've managed somehow to have sanctions applied to China without anyone even calling for them? Meanwhile I see that Dutch dockers are refusing to unload P&O ships. Is this a sign that the world is approaching "Peak Cnut".
Don't you dare say anything to ruin this for e...I'm sure the little ray of hope will wither and die fairly quickly anyway.
If that's Falcon 4, I was never able to manage it. It was Falcon 4 that taught me that civilian simming is more suited to my style of flying (MSFS 2020, Prepar3d and X-Plane 11 these days).
I had a girlfriend like that once.

You haven't even mentioned their deadliest asset
Meanwhile back to reality
That's awful nonsense. Everyone knows Bob Marley invented Jammin
😉
No, it was Tactical Air War, an F22 simultor from a UK game company called DID. They put out about 4 excellent sims which I also have, with the first being based on a Eurogihter and based in Norway. I also have Falcon 4 for a Mac but couldn't get it to run usably.
Yep. It's been off Kaliningrad too, for most of the week, together with an Orion, German Navy variant. Signals gathering. It can also track ground movements. ( vehicles, trains etc)
A man after my own heart!
From the Guardian:
Western officials believe the Kremlin has lost eight high-level military officers since the invasion began; seven of whom have been killed. They are:
Isn’t that the plot of Lord of War ?
Some Russian PM was talking about "denazification" of Poland, Kazachstan and some Baltic states. Biden "slipped" some words to US troops that they will see how brave are Ukrainians when "you are there". Shojgu got heart attack induced by Putin words/chemicals (select your favourite option). There seem to be mass exodus of IT people from Russia - when the war is over they will be back to early 20th century with technology..
I had that Norway one - EF2000 I think it was called. Played the hell out of it. It I remember correctly, I was running it on a Pentium 1.
Most of my time is driving the A2A simulations Cessna 172 or the Airfoillabs version of the same. Both are a lot more details than the EF2000 Typhoon.
Some people are just just dumb on purpose
Plus defeating the Russian Army....and when the last Russian military has left the territory of Ukraine....the complete territory. Dunbas and Crimea. Might sound a bit far fetched at the moment...but I believe it will happen, its all a question of time. I have more faith in the future of Ukraine than I have in the future of Russia. This was Putins best ( and only ) shot at taking Ukraine. The west will not be caught again over an oil / gas barrel,,,that was a one trick pony. Now he has done his best and failed, but what the west has directed at Russia, is still only in the baby stages...plus, Ukraine is getting militarily stronger and stronger. For ordinary Russians, I feel sorry. They did not deserve Vladimir Putin.( and neither did the world, TBH)
Oh for foxsake!
And getting proved every day ( even beyond a reasonable doubt !!! )!!! 😄
The way things are going Russian propaganda could soon be expounding the success of their special military operation against Ukraine in the battle for Bryansk.
Love that one. Mad how in the face of human suffering there is always humour to be found.
Foreign Mercenaries from Syria....well that plan didn't work out too well for the Chechens'. The much feared " Kadyrovsky's" were decimated. Hunting down and killing small nrs of Chechan rebels in the woods in Chechnya is a far cry from fighting Ukrainians on their home turf, and armed to the teeth. Admittedly, the Syrians might have more experience, but even so, the Ukrainians have fought and beaten elite Russian units like Spetsnaz etc. too.
