If you're pro-intervention, then you must realise you'll be in perpetual war intervening all over the world.
It appears their "better stuff" is mainly in their imagination. Feckin army of bullshitters.
NATO, eventually, intervened in the Balkans, how long will they wait this time?
Why are they waiting?
I've experience of firing fire arms at least.
I'd not be waiting at the barricades for those being belligerent for others to fight, especially those posting anonymously on the Internet.
Fantastic well done.
Took 6 months after war started for NATO to declare a no-fly zone over Bosnia. That was a nice easy one for NATO though. Russia is a different problem.
This conversation isn't about what they are doing as I already stated they are all acting in their own self interest. Its a conversation about what should happen and what the citizens of the west should demand of their politicians. You've nailed your colours to the mast and it's pretty pathetic to be honest.
Have I convinced you to go?
Bit different going down the gun range or shooting a few clays than having the guts to put it on the line if it were required.
It's not pathetic, it's a mature assessment.
Do you think Hitler would have used nukes if he had the chance before committing suicide?
Well said, they have no standard of living at all, and no standard of death either.
I am very content to experience a deterioration in living standards, AND an increased risk of nuclear war, in order to put an end to Putin's misadventure.
Some say charity should begin at home. Unfortunately it often goes no further.
Not really... countries can be pro intervention about a conflict in their region which is of no concern to others and vice versa. Poland has a different view of this to even say Turkey never mind South Korea or Brazil.
I'd be betting NATO will react quicker, and air supremacy would be in place in short order.
you said earlier you weren't a betting man? So you are prepared to bet that NATO would react quicker in an attack by Russia against one of their countries? You really think they would? IMHO I think there would be a lot of red-tape and going through the motions before anything would be done by NATO.
Why, what's the difference? Serbia didn't have nuclear weapons is it?
Agreed. Why should I think you've the guts?
Agree to disagree seeing as we are both giving opinions.
Sounds like complete manure
There would be plenty to go if NATO/UN went in.
Jaysus this thread has become a personal insulting ground for a few posters - can you not find a room together
Ffs Irish people wishing other nations to send in their sons to die fighting Russians in Ukraine. Yes the feeling of helplessness while we watch on is horrific but we need to let the EU, NATO experts manage this. I’m certain a lot is happening that we’re unaware of regarding military support and intelligence etc.
There are rumours that Steven Seagal, a Gravy Seal with Russian citizenship, is on the ground advising the Russians.
So hypothetically, if Azerbaijan go at it with Armenia again......get involved or na? how do you tell all these countries who beg you to intervene, that you're not going to because they're a few miles further south than your 'intervention zone'. Very hypocritical policy. But I guess most countries have hypocritical policies.
Ah come here go away with the far fetched Hollywood movies. That is a big fantasy you just can't let go of.
Someone put up a picture of an injured child. Do only children of Russian aggression matter or is it because they aren't white?
It is is the Russian thread, and I'm asking the above in a Russian context... but, your attempt to get a pass because its 'the Russian' thread is pathetic.
David McWilliams latest podcast about the history of Odessa and what it represents is really interesting. Worth a listen
ominous read from the expert and author interviewed, to finish up the piece on Odessa, was that Putin doesn’t need to win. He just needs not to lose. And he can dig in and bomb Ukraine until 2024 when maybe a new American administration disengages from the whole thing
Russian Fertilizer and food are more important than Russian energy.
They'd get nowhere near conflict... unless they were thinking of joining the Russians.
It's been a regular occurance for the last 2 years at least
Calm your tinfoil hat
