He had a certain fan base here and some weren't gone on him.
He disappeared very fast last year and now he's about to sue Twitter.
Like I said, I have a problem with 27 year old men preying on children but you clearly don't. That's irrelevant of the Irish constitution.
When you don't believe in the Irish constitution, you need to have a look at yourself.
I'm surprised you're able to go on so long.
You are an absolute liar. You've accused me of hating women, told people they are ok with sexual predators despite saying nothing of the sort, accused people of defending someone when they clearly haven't and called people incels.
Grow up.
When you are finding yourself on the same side of an argument as the incel movement, you really need to have a hard look at yourself.
Here we have it. Finally one of the McDermott defenders comes out and says it. They want 27 year old men scouting school girls to be viewed as normal. For what reason they want this, we don't know but to the rest of us, you look creepy and disgusting.
I know the facts.
You seem to be talking about some other 'case'
You think he's a scumbag right?
Do some research before posting. But defending McDermott without knowing the facts is very telling.
I'll take that as an admittance of defeat. 😀
You can't also say for certain that the scope will be limited. It's open to the defence to use every and any lawful tactic to defend the case so they might pry into the details of the relationship
The scope will be limited by the nature of the grievance, this will be done by the Judge ultimately.
If it is limited to the failure of Twitter to remove the tweet in a timely manner which is required under current legal directives it may not even get to the jury.
The varsity of the claims are moot as it's not something Twitter can themselves verify, the chances that a High Court Judge would even allow them to is pretty much nil.
Of course either side can call any witness they wish even in a civil trial, but again it's up to the court to compel them.
Hopefully it does go to full litigation, I doubt it though.
Nothing weird about it. Two people with a mutual attraction were in a relationship, which was not illegal.
Why is this such a sore point for some people here?
Yes, MAY find it weird.
I personally find it weird but it's not a crime.
True. Can't believe boards are allowing her to post those things!
You are suggesting that McDermott 'preyed on schoolchildren ' that has nothing to do with any 'case ' the 'case' is a woman posting things on social media that were not true. That's the only case.
Unless you have some information that suggests McDermott 'preyed on schoolchildren '?
Why are you continuing to engage? Never argue with a idiot, they will pull you down to their level and beat you with experience.
are you stating as fact that McDermott 'preyed on schoolchildren '?
So it wasn't a lie then.
Great, took you long enough to admit to that. Glad we are in agreement. Let's hope McDermott doesn't do it again.
He may have worked as a teacher once. Not when he was in this relationship however.
By that reckoning I am a burgerking worker🙄
I would absolutely have an issue with any man preying on schoolchildren.
He was a teacher. 100% fact unless you've turned your back on McDermott and you're calling him a liar as well?
No need to thanks. He was not a teacher when he had the relationship, no matter how much you try to insinuate otherwise
So you have no issue with 27 year old men preying on school children?
Read the post again, slowly if you need to.
That's not the issue at all. The issue is someone posting statements about a man, which they know to be false, in social media.
trial by social media is not right, fair or legal.
What lies?
No, he wasn't a teacher when they had a relationship. You're now posting lies.
What type of cases?
What do you think happened here?
The only 'case' is that a woman posted lies in social media which she later retracted. I'm your mind you seem to think there is something else going on, there isn't any other 'case'
Why he and his people didnt put those allegations to bed is anyones guess. Madness.
Did you manage to find which part of the solicitors letter stated she was lying yet? Thought not.
