I haven't had a mask on in the office at all throughout Covid. I didn't drop dead. I didn't catch Covid in work. No one in the office caught Covid at work.
They're still among us.

Seems to be a big drop off in mask usage in the local shops (Spar etc) but not as much in supermarkets.
So people must suspect supermarkets are more dangerous than your local shop?
You were all very lucky.
I got it last week for the first time and if you can avoid it. It was like a very bad cold but I was still 4-5 days feeling like crap and could not work or go anywhere (including canceling plans away with the kids over mid-term). I am getting over it now and still coughing constantly but it's was a very annoying disruption in my life that I could have done without. So you will not need to go to hospital and will not die but it's no picnic either.
So what if I infect them? No one gave two hoots before covid, but now it's all the rage.
The mask makes no difference. Everyone vaccinated etc etc. Time to move on.
I realise for conservative people, it is difficult to move back to normal.
Was just going to post this exact thing. Day 3 and it seems most people have dropped them in the smaller convenience style stores. Dunnes still seemed about 50% when I was in earlier.
Guys at work told me that they'll wear them in the shop because, well, just because.....
This is a large part of it unfortunately , same as the clowns wearing the masks down like wtf
Have no issue with a mix of masked and unmasked and that's the way it should be going forward
Seems to be about 60/40 masked ATM from what I see
Did you have all the vaccines?
So what if you infect someone?
No one may have cared "before covid", but now we know better. Or what I should say, is most of us know better. Alas, its clear some people have learned nothing.
Your hard man act is pathetic.
Not a hard man act by any stretch of the imagination.
We are now in the "after covid" phase, King Tony has declared that the war is over.
Now... If only we could convince King Putin to declare that his war over, that'd be great.
More like a toddler than a hard man . The constant looking for attention is like a bold toddler !!
You're not wrong there 🤣
yes and the booster right before Christmas. When I got it I was never concerned and my point was who needs the disruption it causes and who likes being sick.
A few extra days off from work are nice, no?
In a busy Terenure Aldi yesterday and only one person I saw had no mask. Tesco the day before around 80 to 90 % wearing masks. Will continue wearing a mask for another while as its still very much around. While I know its not going to kill me it can still be a nasty dose I don't need and will try and avoid for the sake of wearing a mask in a shop for a short while or the bus tomorrow. A colleague tested positive monday and has felt crap since then.
Others can do what they want, I couldn't care less.
A lot of the people now taking used masks out of their pockets and putting them on.
Fairly manky.
You are being very polite there, I would use different words, but it's not worth it. He'll burn out like a candle soon enough. And all what will be left...
I wish. Self-employed so no work means no income.
Did you call them "Twats " face to face or do you keep that for online only ?
I had it. Didn’t catch it in work though. Was a bad chest/throat infection and tiredness. Nothing to shut the country down over.
They were suitably informed of my disappointment in their decision.
Oh and I save the word "twat" for online use only, I'm usually more colourful with my language.
Fair enough I suppose.
We'll all burn out like that pretty soon with Putin's carry on 😬
And there's no need to be polite around me, I'm (allegedly) a hard man after all.
Funny anyone I know that got it have all had their vaccines, last year before the vaccines I didn’t know one person that had it, I didn’t bother with any vaccine and only put on a mask when I had no other choice never bothered with the constant hand sanitiser yet I’ve yet to get the Covid-19.
Some family members and friends are wearing masks in shops for the 5 mins they are in there but don't in the pub or restaurant at all for hours.
Bizarre stuff.
It’s all very weird. Have some people wearing them walking the empty corridors in work but not when chatting to multiple Co-workers. People pulling them down around their chin to speak to you. People wearing them one day then not the next.
I wonder have they actually thought about how stupid it actually is?
I wonder why does it bother you?
I thought the outcome from posters who doesn't like masks for whatever reason is, that they don't really care and fully respect if anyone keeps using face masks.
