My thoughts are based purely on curiousity Gg which is mostly driven by a tendency I have to assume there maybe something more going on than just being happy to wear a mask.
One of the things I wonder about is if mask wearing is related to an increasing disconnect between each other. Another barrier with which we have in place. For example I've heard commuters being referred to as walking germs, except they aren't...they are people.
Like I say I do go down rabbit holes with this kind of stuff 😆
I genuinely have no judgement here. I have it with other things absolutely but not with mask wearing. I don't know a person's reasons but that doesn't stop me from thinking and speculating. And I kind of like that. There you are doing your thing and I'm standing beside you wondering 'what is she thinking about and where will she go after here'.
Sorry to break it to you but these so called ‘immunicompromised’ people have no right to demand other people wear a mask in public.
If someone is ‘immunocompromised’ they can wear a high quality mask and stay away from others if they wish. I certainly won’t be wearing a mask to protect a stranger. I’ve had my life effected for a full 2 years now to protect these people, but no more.

I can't answer for those who wear them when they are not needed or make comments regarding others not wearing them , but will be ignoring anybody else and just do what I need to.

I tend to fact check people very regularly, regardless of where they stand. Dissent is not exactly following the science. He himself suggested Malaysia should stop their vaccination programme and not to vaccinate people under 50 but yeah sure he's qualified. You appear to have been radicalised by all of this. That's fine but if your response is put your fingers in our ears your mind has been long closed. I wish you well on the path to reset.
Still will wear in busy places for foreseeable future and likely at times in future when I think I may have something or be at risk of picking up something.
It is a small, inconsequential measure which shows a consideration towards others in society. Many of whom would be particularly vulnerable.

Nope, here's just one rebuttal of his Rogan performance in December getting things wrong about science and just being a bit crazy. About the only thing I agree with him on was the talk of a multiple booster plan of these vaccines, which has now gone.

You can take off the tin hat, this isn't some big conspiracy. Drug companies can legally **** people over so very easily in places like America, they have no need to do something like what you are suggesting
I voted no but I'll carry one in my pocket and will be ok with wearing one in a small shop or some where like that if asked. I have a long bus journey in a couple of weeks and am thinking of maybe wearing the mask when not in my seat and taking it off while sitting. But that's honestly just performance more than anything and I'll see what things are like by then.
Everyone and their dog is claiming some form of vulnerability.... How we made it to 2022 as a species is beyond me.

Consideration towards others in society my hole, as someone said on the radio a few days back, restrictions were introduced for covid, not to allay someone's anxieties. They've had it good for the last two years, they had their time in the spotlight, but the covid situation has changed so back to normal we go, let them protect themselves like they did before covid.

Thing is he was decrying the need for further boosters before the science was there .
This impact on one's own immune system by vaccines was expected by everyone in the medical and scientific community.
But no scientist could come out and say this was definite , or would without proof , which only now becoming available as time dependant . Now we can see the effects of vaccines and boosters on t cells and memory b cells at a few months post jab and extrapolate how well they can probably work into the future for variants .
His reference to this is disingenuous to say the least, as he attributes greater importance to natural immunity rather than the benefit of vaccines.
This is what gives these guys the illusion of credibility , " a stopped clock " and all that .
I won't be wearing one after the deadline, ever.
I only ever wear one not out of respect for (often low paid) employees: an effort to not make their lives difficult.
