With the greatest of respect, and not intending to be negative, as you are going through a difficult time, please consider seeing your GP for a referral to a psychologist. Alternatively, if you can see a psychologist directly, you could do so. It would be of benefit for you to see a professional who is accredited and regulated. Best of luck.

I think you gave good general advice but wish you'd said 'in addition' as you have no idea about their belief system of what gives them comfort.

You're the one who's interfering to make an irrelevant point when someone in distress is reaching out for assistance. Less virtue signalling and more cop on on your part might be advisable.
Who are you to decide what someone needs? This is a public board, not a private conversation with you and the OP. If someone said they were going through a bad patch and came on here asking for a donut shop, and you pointed them to a salad bar, or someone came on looking for mass times, and you told them to seek professional help, it would be the same.
I only commented in support of the OP, and someone else had already commented. You're the one virtue signalling, and a bit less judgement might be in order.

Hi. Firstly, with respect, if you are going through a difficult time, why are you seeking relief or respite via a "psychic" ?
As someone who has seen a close friend almost financially ruined by these charlatans I would urge you to reconsider.
These people prey on people like yourself especially when you are at a low ebb.
If they are offering spiritual guidance why are none of them offering it for free out of the good of their hearts?
At least stop to think about it before you go any further.
Whatever you are going through there is real and professional help out there, I am sure you will even find lots of legitimate good advice
