I wonder if Dermot has been filming any new shows for the series?
as much as we complained about it . i miss the show
Never a bad word said
Returns next Sunday 20th at 21:30.
Architect Dermot Bannon returns to help people to improve their homes, beginning by giving Marc and Lisa Daly advice on their property in Kilmacud, Co Dublin.
sweet. as sad as it sounds it was definetly missed.
Anyone watching?
Yeah , it’s hardly room to improve its a completely new build
i am . . missed the first 5 min
Already over budget..:)
They should have built an old looking shed to start off with.
YEAH, but a bit half hearted.
Will we get:
Lots of glass
big budget over run
Dermot picking stuff the owners hate......
Once again budget seems to be at the forefront
Isn't it just mad what the semi-d is worth?
Did she really say 600,000?
€620K
Anyone have any idea why they are wearing the hi-viz vests inside out?
Marking off my room to improve bingo card nicely..
Double height atrium
Over budget
No contingency
Glass
Possibly some corporate branding on them that they don't want seen.
Branding that they don't want to show?
It will be interesting if the finish of the front of the house will need to retain the look of the existing houses on the street, pebbledash and red brick etc.
dermot on the radio a few days ago saying hasnt went over budget in years . not sure how he can say that when the budget is changed every episode to cover it
The clients have one budget and Dermot has another budget in his head.
Wonder what the neighbours think? Looks like it be very out of character with the area
Dermot would be brilliant in designing a few council houses.
Well to be fair its been 2 years since last episode and they have plenty of excuses at this stage for running over budget i.e. cost of building materials and inflation. So for once we can't give out about going over budget. TBH I'd say from now on budget will be No 1 for most people AND for the show. Different times. I'm just going to enjoy it with an open mind.
Feeling guilty because I don’t have the money to give my autistic son a sensory room and probably never will ..
It is great that the budget stretched to new hiviz !
yes but he was saying all those other time dont count because they increased the budget . i dont see how you can design a build at 200k but spend 400k and not be over budget
oh I must have missed something, I thought in 2018 they were happy with a budget of 420K?? my mistake.
you would wonder how they manage to get planing permission for such a new build .. original plans didn’t even have a slate roof at the front .. must be different up in Dublin
