And so does his brother as well to have the confidence to post the video on social media in the expectation all it would do was raise a laugh.
I've no doubt some people are so pathetic they keep animals just to be mean to them.
Hope he gets the boot himself.
He cost them something like €39 million. West Ham have no interest in writing that off and would be happy enough if their players ate children so long as they were not caught. They are all the same. You think Man U actually care about Harriet Robson?
You can see clubs will hire anyone if they think they are getting an advantage (Raith Rovers, Waterford Utd etc).
Another scumbag footballer is all he is. If he wasn't good at football he would most likely have a string of convictions
The dog pound must be closed this evening or else the Gaurda not taking calls.
This isn't so much a 'toxic masculinity' issue, it's a 'dumb dude' issue.
I mean, I know from life experience that it's a thing with dumb (immature) teenagers, like my brother moons ago, who would just be mean to pets as if shows some kind of hard man quality. But it's just so pathetic so be the hard man to a defenceless anything.
But in this case, we're not talking about a teenager, we're talking about a grown adult behaving this way to get likes from his fans. And that is what is so galling about this, that he and his brother thought they had a fan base that would 'enjoy' it. Beyond pathetic.
Zouma was in the side tonight. Good to see common sense prevail
Big time. The little story about his epic "win" over the animal shelter must have run its course....lol
Would you find it funny if someone kicked...then slapped your dog in the face?
He'd go to the "Gaurda"!
West ham are getting absolutely destroyed online....it ain't over yet.
Imagine thinking it's okay for a grown man to slap and kick a pet cat around his house because people eat meat.
Morons.
Kick cats, eat children, beat women.................yet if a payer used some 'words' about someone's race/religion/sex hell hath no fury, cancelled
Strange times...
I don't think anyone here is saying that. UFCMachine's comment is the closest to that, but still isn't saying that. What has been pointed out is the hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance how people will get angry over abuse to one animal, while at the same time paying for other's to be exploited and ultimately killed, just because of how society/culture views and values one species life over another, when they each have the same ability to suffer and inclination to avoid that suffering and survive.
Then give 500 euro to someone because he owed them 100.
But never hold him to ransom.
He'll be suspended for a few games and fined. Then he'll be back playing and the twitter mob will have moved on to be outraged by something else
I'd say he isn't out of the woods yet.
What footballer got away with beating women recently? Greenwood is in big trouble...Goodwillie was rightly chased out of Raith (rapist)...Mendy is going to prison for a long time for rape I would think.
Errr...also what footballer has been eating children....?!
It is only a matter of time
When I spotted that Raith footballers name was Goodwillie, I thought someone was messing.
The odd thing is he has been playing football in the league below for years without much fuss.
But they should never have signed him caused them serious damage.
What I also don't understand in recent "exposures" like this is the hallow apology.
Are we supposed to believe since Sunday, that this man has suddenly had an epiphany and seen the light and is deeply sorry? He is only sorry there was such a pushback and his brother actually brazen enough to put it on Social Media in the first place, seriously seeing nothing wrong with it.
The apology makes absolutely no sense, there is no plausible excuse for him doing it, yet people are supposed to accept these pets are happy and loved in the main. If someone said they were pissed and drink does not suit them, at least you could see a mitigating (not excusable but an explanation) But this guy is actually saying, I battered the cat for no real reason, sorry about that! and expecting people to accept it.
Dreadful man.
Well none obviously ....you didn't read what I quoted
David Moyes is some fûcking dose…
he was asked by a journalist if Zouma would be dropped….
“No, because he is one of our better players. But it is certainly ongoing and the club are dealing with it, so that is a separate matter."
How is it a separate matter ? Your player is on social media kicking a cat and breaking the law… but he plays because he is one of their better players. ‘Ongoing ?’ You don’t need to appeal for witnesses there is a bastarding video !
so we’d drop him if he was shîte…. Some hamster turning the wheel in Moyes head jesus.
Heard that on the radio....some choice of words allright. Absolutely not one iota of Emotional Intelligence.
Oh christ the vegans are off on one already. 🙄🙄
You'll probably end up finding out that you may indeed share the same basic moral principles that vegans hold. Most people do, they've just been conditioned by a culture and society in a way that their actions don't align with those principles.
Personally I don't give a monkies fiddlers what anyones personal philosophical beliefs or principles are. Thing is it's against the law to kick a cat in the UK, just as it's against the law to kick any other domestic animal whether that's a cat or a cow. Does it happen? Apparently so. They're a small number of ashats in all walks of life. Now can we get back to the discussion at hand without the preaching. Thanks
There's multiple facets of discussion here from the career of a footballer to animal cruelty. The fact it's against the law to kick a cat, but not to subject other animals to horrendous, exploitative treatment and to kill them, when they are no different in their ability to experience pain and suffering, should show we need to look beyond the law for what is moral.
I lost interest in football a number of years ago, it was my main interest when I was teen. I lost interest for a number of reasons, when the players started to become around my age I stopped viewing them in the superhero type view like you did when you were young. Also the ongoing abuse of James McClean got under my skin, hearing him get booed by fans of top clubs for not wanting to support a symbol that funds ex soldiers who killed civilians in his country. Another reason that I lost interest is that soccer is a very boring sport.
It's not as boring as people on the internet rabbiting on about themselves off topic.
Guess what pet cats eat, a clue, it's not ryvita bread.
Cats are a mixed bag... of cats.
And the obvious cheating, diving etc. not to mention the impact a bad referee can have on a game. I’ve seen too many tight games lost by one side of another by a ridiculous decision by the ref.
