This question goes out those who took the 2 jabs? Will you you take it to get back to normality? Or are you sick of the government moving the goalposts constantly?
So is boards 🤣🤣
Make sure you get it at few weeks before you go so you have time to get cert issued.
Bit late for that. I'll be going in much less than a few weeks. Think I'll just not bother. Why is there such a discrepancy between countries? Denmark , Ireland , UK lifting restrictions, France very strict.
Has the demand for boosters pretty much fallen off a cliff since the ending of the Covid certs domestically?
I’d say so... big time !
i can’t get over the amount of HSE ads on radio asking 12-15 year olds to get their boosters , it’s like desperation from the HSE ......and coercion at this stage . Totally unnecessary.
That cohort were only done a few months ago so boosting them again is far too soon ! I’m 59 and has my last vaccine in July last year , fit , slim, healthy .....not getting any booster . I’d like my immune system to do what it’s meant to do. Naturally
Boosters aren't approved for 12-15 last I checked, where did you hear that?
Though this "natural immunity" belief some people have is a bit loopy (and scientifically wrong, but alas).
Go on then - explain how natural immunity after recovery from a virus is not real.
Relaxed a bit (hospitality and culture open until 10, quarantine for children relaxed) but not completely, and under the proviso that this will be reviewed in 3 weeks. They stressed last night that they are not saying that the emergency is over and restrictions could be put back in place on a whim if the OMT (NPHET equivalent) advice leads to it. QR code needed for everyone over 13 to access things aswell.
Are you claiming natural immunity after an infection offers the same degree of immunity as a vaccine?
Many ppl i know who got the double vaxx are not enthusiastic about the booster, between feeling they've been duped and adverse reactions many are not interested.
Duped? Who duped them?
From what I've heard its better.
Is this from your friends who say they were duped?
"Natural immunity happens after you get infected by a germ and your immune system responds by making antibodies to it. The infection could make you sick. But if you’re exposed to that germ in the future, your body’s defenses spot it and fight back with antibodies. This makes you less likely to get infected again."
No scientists.
No, the CDC are.
CDC: Natural Immunity Offered Stronger Protection Against COVID Than Vaccines During Delta Wave - Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org)
On Wednesday, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provided new research showing that, during the recent Delta wave, individuals who had previously contracted COVID-19 had more protection against the virus than those who had been vaccinated.
Astrofool did not think natural immunity is 'real'. Hence my reply which you decided to ignore so can I ask you - do you 'believe' in it?
Politicians.
Now that is a game changer.
You've been forced to take the 1st 2, now you're being forced to take this one. Don't forget you have to sign away to the fact that you are willingly taking this stuff and aren't being forced, yet thats exactly what is happening. It's up to you to say no, if this turns out to be bad for you...a job is only a job, your health is your life 👍
If it is "up to you to say no" then they arent really being "forced" are they....
Exactly, summer tourism is big driver for many EU states and younger people who like their w/e breaks more likely not to have taken a 3rd vaccine. Things going the way they are, we'll see the pressure come on to accept any vaccine cert I reckon, if at all.
Natural immunity is real, not sure why you think I was implying otherwise (otherwise how would vaccines work at all?), the fallacy is the loopers thinking that encountering a virus without a vaccine or booster and gaining immunity that way is somehow better than having had a vaccine or booster, that isn't the case, you're always better off being vaccinated beforehand as your risks from encountering the virus are much lower due to your immune system being able to react more quickly (you may fight off the virus before it has a chance to replicate and never get infected, for example), vaccine immunity is also more consistent than virus acquired immunity which can be dependent on the viral load encountered.
There's a lot of moon worshippers out there pushing the "natural immunity" route, they are certified idiots (and you can have other reasons not to take the vaccine understanding that your risk when encountering a virus is greater and not be under the false belief that gaining immunity naturally is a better way to do it, it's a very very stupid way to do it).
Imo massive govt scare campaigns, massive msm scare campaigns, loss of freedoms and threats of even more extreme measures are force.
Yes if you are brave, you can refuse but losing your job is not an easy or a happy "choice".
Still no mandatory vaccination in this country AFAIK. People who dont want a vaccine constantly compare themselves to brave warriors who believe they are being frog marched to jab centres. Its not mandatory, you're not Gandhi.
Quick question. I know that it's advised to wait 3 months to get a booster after having COVID. But if I were to turn up for a booster after 2 months for example is there anything to stop me getting it?
Thanks in advance
Suddenly, it is a buyer's market. You wouldn't have to queue, that is for certain. The only thing stopping you would be yourself.
As for mandatory injections, it depends what your definition of mandatory is.
Does your employer demand it? If not, then there is no coercion involved.
If it is policy within the organisation you work for to be vaccinated/boosted, such as a school or a hospital, then boosters are going to be hard to avoid, regardless whether they are legally required or policy to have them.
Does your health insurance demand it? That is going to be interesting going forward. If they stipulate you need it to qualify, then yah, thats something you can't easily ignore. Does a hospital demand it before you go in for a procedure? Will they in the future? Watch other EU countries for perspective.
The dropping of the covid pass is a massive loosening of restriction, and will almost certainly influence the numbers presenting for a booster, albeit those who don't mind remaining in Ireland for the foreseeable future.
If you want to travel abroad, then you will need your wee booster...ad infinitum by the looks of things.
Pick mandatory and free will out of the above.
People losing their freedoms is not a big deal to you?
Why would you go against health advice!
Maybe I’m wrong but Isn’t it the case that they don’t advise 3 jabs and infection in a short space of time because they aren’t sure of the effects of that. It’s a lot to put on the immune system surely!
Yeah, it's huge
Don't be silly.
