I never knew Honda made one of those but it makes sense that probably every Japanese manufacturer probably made one as these box vans are or were a pop culture in Japan. I'm guessing they are coming here now in the hope being pushed as marketing tools for certain businesses, a mobile billboard as such. I couldn't see them replacing the trusty Dyna workhorse overloaded with bags of coal or blocks.
Do the drift boys like them?
which makes me wonder is he being economical with the truth? is there more faults to be sussed out..but i'm still mightly tempted😐️
Should make a reliable and unique daily when completed.
Mk1 escort zakspeed pick up Quattro
Never even heard of them before!
Gilbern Invader MK3 car
Cause they are very cheap and plentiful in Japan. Around €700, Cheap freight, no customs duty, €200 VRT. Good profit in them but I’m not sure if people are actually buying them once they land here
I don't know if they sell all that well here but my brother has a suzuki super carry, its a very handy thing to have around the yard with it comes to moving or collecting stuff
Theres a fair bit of work on that Brera - the emissions will probably need a new cat to sort (it might have been running poorly for a while, JTS engines had issues with variators ) and will need upper and lower arms on both sides. Handbrake cable is about €70, but a pig to fit. Rear calipers will be hard to get if they are specific to the brera, but might be shared with 159/vectra.
You need to be up close to it to really see the story, but it sounds a bit neglected, odd for an "enthusiast"
^^^ so what do reckon the best part of a grand to put right? maybe more?
Yeah, it just doesn't add up. Sounds like someone wants shot of it. Not worth anywhere near 3k.
Ive done suspension on a 159 and parts alone are €400, add another 250+vat for labour. Get a price on a cat and to fit it. and then the brakes...
Unless you do it yourself I cant see it being less than a grand. But its certainly worth doing if its a car you are interested in. If the mileage is right, condition is excellent and maybe pressure to get it for around 2k?
I was in the yard when a couple asked the price of this... " this beast is €50k - won't find another like it" said the salesman. I think they were a little surprised
If I'm not mistaken I don't think thats 310 bhp.
They're 290, and jap examples (in the case of Golf Rs anyway) are lower again than European examples
Is that agreement still in force in Japan? Something like it can't be more powerful than 280 or something. If it is a Jap import it's most likely capped at 180kph too.
Speed limiter can be removed quite easily
The couple likely thought its a 4 year old VW rather than considering what it really is. Still €50k is a tidy sum to drop on a 4 year old VW whatever way you look it (contradicting myself now).
Without knowing too much about it I'm sure there are other ones out there like it, even if not too common. That type of factually incorrect BS is used too often when selling cars.

"Everything else about this Yaris is mint." Filthy wreck of a thing.
Jesus the market is gone crazy. 2 grand for that and the NCT up in two months or so.
Loving some of the sti / wrx foresters currently on DD
Unusual to see so many, high prices though.

Was the 31k on the clock done around a field?
There are cars with 10 times that mileage with better interiors.
See the white and the blue ones for €18.5k
Really tasty looking.... I would
Jaguar XF
The estate is nice, but that money will get you a very nice 2016 Mk2 model, which is a better car.
Or, come down 2 years and buy this
The Mk2 XF has a 2.0 diesel engine made of chocolate though.
Really?
I've not seen reports about the engine giving trouble, and I am looking to replace my 2012 520 with a 2016 XF mk2
Same Ingenium engine fitted to various Land Rovers and Range Rovers:
It's a very soft engine by all accounts.
Just on that, looking for myself at the minute. Anyone any thoughts on the likes of this?
I suppose you have to admire the craftsmanship
@ 22k! The dealer is certainly bit of a comedian even apart from the name.
