not interested in buying one , was just watching a review with Nobby and he mentioned the one which starts around 53K
cant see them selling well , mispriced IMO
I was offered one at 54,500 and the trade in price in conjunction was over 3k less than I got with Kia
guy was telling me there was no movement and he would make more money selling me a Kuga
New York City orders 200 Mustang Mach-E police and first responder cars
Lucky police!
Lucky criminals if they have a full tank!
What % of police car usage do you think is a car chase ?
what % of those in New York do you imagine last for over 400km ?
LOL, tongue in cheek remark
Big upgrade from the hybrid Mondeo the Lord Mayor's had for the last few years.
Just too expensive here.
Unreal prices compared to the US price.
Blame our VAT and VRT for that
Prices quoted in the US are before tax.
This is interesting even if the Automotive Reporter is hard to take but at least he isn't that EV Viking guy whose sole aim is to pimp Chinese EV stocks.
Ford is stealing Tesla's groove for E.V. production, design and manufacturing processes.
They are going to continuous change build model like tesla do rather than using model years and just last month knocked $1000 off the bill of materials cost of the Mach-E
The over-engineering which Munro noted is addressed by the head of Ford.
They're also looking at the dealer network. Last month 82% of cars sold in U.S. sold over R.R.P. and that is huge profit which the Manufacturer is missing out on being taken by the Dealers.
Is the Mach E on the road here yet ?
Haven't seen one so far
There’s one in the estate that I work in. See it most days. In the Metallic red colour above. Really. Nice.
just too expensive for what it is.
would prefer the 5.0L proper mustang over it.
It's totally mispriced, can't see many buying one ,it's model Y money
Presumably hoping people will pay for a horse badge. Even if it’s not the more premium horse badge.
Just took a look on the Ford website - 69,000 starting price for the base model! Absolute madness.
I'd love to know how many they've sold.
I still haven't seen a single one on the roads in Ireland yet.
Yep there’s a good few of them about starting to appear. They certainly look very impressive out on the road
For a company as established as Ford they still have this weird knack of getting pricing all working- the Ford edge was a case in point. It was massively overpriced and sold nothing as a result. At least the E Mach has sone excuse being an electric and peddling on the Mustang brand
Easy virtue signal about “sustainability” riding around in a free €70k electric car. These tossers are so far removed from everyday people it would be laughable if it weren’t so serious
$46,000 in US before any grants, roughly the same price as a Model 3 SR over there. Irish distributor must be making some margin
Surely its less serious than if funded by the taxpayer. Pity Ford dont supply a few more to the political class as it would save the taxpayer a bundle
They are not making any margin if they are not selling any lol.
America is a huge country do with a massive auto industry and a huge market to sell to compared to us a hint island with a small market to sell too so yes off course it is going to be more expensive here unfortunately.
Now if only we could convince the rest of Europe to drive on the right side if the road and all cars become right hand drive then maybe prices could come down a bit.
Back in late 21 when I was talking to Ford .The dealer was adamant he would make more selling me a Ka than a mustang . Now I usually trust a car dealer as far as I can throw him ,but I kind of believed him this time .
Just watched Nobby's latest video - went from Dub with full charge to Cork and back in a LR driving at 110kmph and had to charge it three times- he drove I think 580km in total which is less than the stated range. Aside from price they must be a tough sale
I have a new Mustang Mach E myself and absolutely love it so far. As an aside to the above poster my max range seems to be about 365km.
Shame about the range for the Mach-e. It was top of my list but the new price, the tough resale market plus the poor mileage (probably the reason) makes it a no for me. You will lose your shirt if you have to sell one of these bought from new.
Most buyers will have to keep them for many years or go back to Ford and continue a finance cycle.
Very niche market car and my opinion is they should have the left the mustang branding out of it. It’s about as much of a mustang as my bmw 530e is!
You mean the little horsey on the front isn't enough? 😂
