Ya to be fair their prices are usually just about what you could build it for yourself these days, just pity those prices are all inflated
One thing I found about buying from the custom build company was that for a complete newbie to gaming and high spec tech it was all made very easy, well explained, compatibilities pointed out, and lots of set-up info given to avoid any silly newbie pitfalls. It was assumed I knew little or nothing and everything went very smoothly with emails sent to update me in progress of build, shipment, etc. It went exceptionally smoothly with no hiccups whatsoever.
Yeah I'm using it nearly exclusively instead of my 1080ti rig at the moment, finding it fantastic, only downfall is the games list really.
Was looking at possibly using pcspecialist this year, if your looking at building anything high end they are actually very competitive Vs buying parts at the moment.
I've always build my pcs since buying my first dell back in 2005 and struggling to upgrade. After that I always built my own. But this time around PC specialist were only coming in about €50 more than buying the parts off amazon so I went with them.
Plus afterwards I upgraded to the 3080 which I got for €950.
Just looking and it looks like prices have gone up again.
And FYI..the semiconductor supply chain issue is going to last till early to mid 2023. Forget about getting cheaper components for 2022 because its not going to happen.
Ether is moving from mining in the next few months so maybe?
Are there other profitable GPU mined currencies?
Many of them. The changes in Ethereum won't bring any relief, miners will just move to the other coins.
That's exactly what I thought, and ETH has been talking of moving away from GPUs for ages at this stage and it still hasn't happened.
I bought my PC from them last year, great service and no issues with it.
Any Sites for tracking supplies of cards around europe or ireland?
Its becoming less of a supply problem and more of a price problem. Even Currys Ireland have cards in stock now, they are just 2-3 times MSRP.
I don't see them available anywhere? Aside from one 3060.
I see a EVGA 3080 for 1400 on Adverts, its the best priced ive seen in a while.
What would be the minimum power supply required for one? I only have a 500w at the mo
Good few just marginally above 3070 prices around like on German websites but a good priced 3080 is like finding a needle in a haystack.
I see nvida getting blasted by absolutely everyone on twitter this evening after their 3050 announcement. About scalpers and Crypto miners.
I see the RTX 3090 Ti was announced today
I dread to think of the price and the availability and those **** scalpers buying them all up
will they though? when the 3070/3080 was unattainable i was able to pick up a 3090 FE relatively easily as the miners didnt want to pay for them, can't imagine they'll view this any differently, focus will still be on the cheaper cards
How did you get an FE in Ireland?
bought from Scan december 20, right before brexit stopped them shipping to ireland
They could still ship to Ireland if they wanted, but I know what you mean.
I am self employed so i got my PC vat free from PC specialist early last year. I just wish i was clever enough to do the same before Brexit!
Actually the ASUS 3080 is 919 from Cool Blue in Netherlands but they dont ship to ireland. I can get it sent to my office..... if it ever comes back in stock!
TBH they should more be getting blasted for announcing a xx50 entry-level card for $250.
Might as well announce that they've shot budget gaming in the head.
How easy would it be to sell a second hand Zotac 2070 Super?
How much are you looking for for it?
I have no idea haha! I cant even think about it until i get a GPU. I should really pay the 1400 for the one on adverts but i've the car insurance and property tax this month so thats a grand on its own!
Whats reasonable for a 18 month old one?
Probably close to anything you desire at the moment 🤣👍
In the absence of any reasonably priced GPUs I gave the free version of Geforce Now a go earlier and it was impressive; Cyberpunk ran at a very steady framerate in comparison to my local rig, the entire experience was pretty flawless tbh. I'm seriously thinking of giving the premium tier a whirl now.
I see them up for 800 and 900 euro second hand on adverts. I sold it for 650 which was fair. I wouldn't ask someone for 900 euro for it.
Would highly recommend the 3080 tier, really impressive
It has me converted. Make sure your wifi is decent though.
