Arguement in Lidl this morning with a woman trying to buy wine before 12.30pm.
She tried to convince the cashier to let her because her car park ticket would have run out if she had to wait until 12.30pm!
Aldi should have prosecco for 4.99 (maybe tomorrow). They were setting up the display today. The Guy putting out the boxes said it was a fiver, but when I got to the till It was still scanning as 7.99. lady there said it will prob be updated tonight or tomorrow but for now it was still 7.99.
Honestly, and not being snob, but I do love my wine! Neither would be great tbh….for another euro or two you can regular reds in Lidl or Aldi that are much nicer.
Usually up to close of Christmas Eve is the end of the slab deals. Wine and champagne usually a few deals up to New Year's Day. This year I guess they want no slabs left for 2022 and want to restock to the 15 packs at circa €30 a go.

On a plus, picked up a bottle of Gordons Gin for €15 reduced from €22
Same as me so. Luckily I had only a bag of dog food so noticed right away. The girl at the till had taken the tag off the shelf saying 4.99. it must be happening tomorrow.
Lidl have what looks to be a prosecco offer in 3 days on their VIP offers. Bottle is blacked out at the moment.

As long as you've the receipt, you'll have no hassle getting refunded at €7.99 and buying again at €4.99

Lidl, Francois Dubessy Malbec, €7.50, quite easy drink, without the after taste. And their Barossa Shiraz, again easy drink, smooth, maybe €8?
aldi- cote do Rhône village, very good wine for €7.50, strong %, but quality wine and their Aldi Exquisite Malbec, Argentina
Lidl also do a nice New Zealand Pinot Noir Marlborough 2020 currently on offer at €7.99.
Went to Lidl last night to get Guinness, but no sign of it. But the crafty box was down to 15 euro so I picked up another one of those. And they have the Belgian beer 6 pack back again - not on sale, but always worth getting.
This is £2.49 in Newry. Bought a case on Friday.
As a Guinness drinker, I like it. Like Guinness but with a little hoppy edge to it or something. I'd still order Guinness over it, but don't mind having one occasionally.
