Ye I agree with this. I think RB have been much better strategically that Merc all year bar the odd race. Hamilton I’d imagine feels incredibly let down.

As I said earlier, you need luck to win the title. Hamilton has needed luck despite his car, Rosberg needed luck in '16, Vettel in '12 etc.
Max getting lucky is no different to the norm. As I said earlier this isn't his fault. He didn't do anything wrong.

I don’t see why Mercedes have to be seen to appeal - all it does is show what sore losers they are and attempt to bring the sport into disrepute. There is simply no reason for it. Red Bull didn’t appeal the decision to allow Hamilton to cut the corner and steal first place which was far more egregious than some possible minor safety car technicality that had nothing to do with the winning driver.

Yeah it seemed like Masi didn't want the final race of the season and the championship decided behind the safety car.
Not a big Lewis fan but he had this race in the bag so even if it had have finished behind the safety car I don't think anyone would have thought anything much about it because he kept a 11-12 second gap to Verstappen so seemed like he likely had the win in the bag anyhow.
It's just a shame overall how this has ended for both fans bases.
100% he was extremely fortunate today, no argument on that. I think the Merc is so fast and Max did well to keep it as close as it was.
