What kind of medication was he pumped with to get him through that event and what impact did that have on his behaviour that evening?

I happened in the early days of COVID testing. Back then people (I actually worked with one) were experiencing negative COVID results and then took a test again in a couple days and it came back positive. My daughter in college had COVID back in early 2020, and was so sick it sent her to the hospital. In the hospital a COVID test was performed and it came back negative. The next day another COVID test came back positive.
It wasn't early days of COVID testing, it was late September. COVID had been in full force in the US for over 6 months at that stage. He was also the President, and had access to the top range of medical facilities possible at all times and was likely undergoing regular, if not daily testing.
Valid points but all that does is make his behaviour even more reckless in that context.
The testing wasn't perfect (it still isn't) and he got mixed results , he was experiencing symptoms yet he did nothing and continued to meet people and travel around.
Consistent with his entire approach to the Pandemic right from the start - Ignore, deflect and minimise.
This is POTUS we are talking about, not some college student. THe man has a full medical facility in the WH for goodness sake. To even try to claim there was some confusion is amazing
So the safe option, the responsible option, would have been to tell people and do the debate 'online'. But no, instead Trump lied about it as he felt he needed to be in close quarters to Biden to get to him. As he did with HC.
This has nothing to do with early days, this has everything to do with Trump not caring one iota about anyone but himself. He was struggling in the polls, he needed a knock out blow, and he knew that simply a discussion of the main points he would lose so he lied, and turned up late to the debate to ensure he avoided further testing.
He not only put his entire team in danger, as well as the TV crew, he also put the only other person in the running for the position. Had he died of Covid, and had Biden contacted it and died, where would that have left the US?

It doesn't need Raffensburger to carry out the requested crime in order for Trump to have committed the crime of asking him to. Even the suggestion of getting an election official too fake the election results would be illegal. There is absolutely no reason for a candidate to be communicating with the person carrying out the election whilst that process is ongoing. Unless there was some emergency suddenly breaking out in Georgia that needed Trump to contact him in his capacity as POTUS then there should be zero communication between the two parties.

Unfortunately today "debate" means something to win and not an exchange of ideas. And winning is to be done at all costs, including the integrity of one's own argument and position. People will use spoofery, slight of hand and outright lies to "win". And as we've seen the constant repetition of those lies isn't something that some people will shy away from either. Truth doesn't matter. Fact doesn't matter. Honesty doesn't matter. It's just about "winning".
Steve Bannon once said "flood the zone with shit", and with a large amount of stupid people, liars, and the simple dregs of humanity that are willing to parrot that shit, that becomes much easier to do.
