Is it yeah........
On public transport... the distancing rules are gone on the buses, people are packed in like sardines, and the hand sanitister has been empty for weeks.
And about the hand sanitiser on the buses... it's a weird yoke. The bit that you press also seems to be where the sanitiser tries to come out. It doesn't work, or am I just stupid?
Your argument makes no coherent sense because countries across Europe are now weighing their own new restrictions.
Just reading about response to rising Covid cases in Germany. Parts of Germany have introduced legislation from November 1st that unvaccinated employees will not be entitled to any wage/payments during times they are off work due to quarantining as a result of being close contacts.
You gotta love the efficiency with which Germany makes decisions and introduced them.
No messing about.
Minor changes this Thursday.
Bigger review Thursday week. The bigger review will probably go to cabinet on Monday 6 December or thereabouts.
Hopefully not a full lockdown but rather some additional restrictions.
Like what. Nightclubs closed at 11?
Farcical.
Weekend Lockdowns are a way to go, 11.59 pm Friday to Monday 4 am Clear the street, no one allowed out,
Opening the Nightclubs and filling stadiums was a joke................. but only because the ****hole of a country has a lack of ICU'S and Beds . That is the issue, not the numbers, must be 80,000 cases in last 7 weeks, but there is nowhere for the handful of them that got sick.
Open the clubs while knowing this was stupid, just so people could get up close and personal and drink themselves silly
Terrible waste of drink!
No this is a waste of drink
that won't happen, it was horrendously unpopular and widely seen as over reach by Nphet etc. The government this time are very reluctant to bring in any restrictions, whatever restrictions they do bring in will have to be acceptable and effective, the 9euro meal malarkey does not fit into that box, it would be used as a stick to beat the government and Nphet with this time.
Look whats happening in Europe with rioting etc over restrictions, this is not Summer 2020
I think the Government may actually follow their own advice and #HoldFirm for once. The prediction was that cases will peak at the end of this month. The 7 day average has only risen by about 25% over the last 2 weeks. It's not exactly exploding.
jaysus, some amount of incels on here praying for a lockdown haha
Why do the models say it will peak at the end of the month? It would need to level off soon if its going to peak this month.
I think it was predicted to peak late October, then early-mid November and now late November. I presume they are optimistic scenarios.
It looks like the hospitals are in real trouble. I'd be surprised if restrictions aren't re-introduced to bring down case numbers.
And all this despite the high up-take of vaccines. I hope we'll see an end to all this at some point..
Do you really think they're reluctant to bring in restrictions? They've been busy the past few weeks scaring people, just like the celebrity scientists and academics.
Here's what I think will happen, for it is what has been happening since 'just two weeks to flatten the curve' was announced almost two years ago: NPHET will propose harsh measures. The government will then water them down a tiny bit and people will be relieved that they avoided the harsh(er) measures, and won't realise that slightly less harsh measures were snuck in the back door.
The model of wishful thinking. What changes come end of November? Do we reach herd immunity? Is global warming going to bring along early, so we can open our windows and doors. Maybe they borrowed the model from Australia!
Open the windows!!!!!
Noting how the German health minister said that after winter everyone will be vaccinated, recovered, or dead.
When aren't the Hospitals in trouble? €20Billion a year and there are 3rd World Countries with better Healthcare systems than us.
Its on a knife edge...
Boosters
The unvaccinated get vaccinated or have already been infected
Versus
Christmas parties and all the December mixing
This 13th December date seems to be gaining traction
Yeah via WhatsApp thanks to muppets sharing the Liberal....
Yes they are very reluctant to bring in restrictions, this is not 2020, they have already spent 40billion euros on Covid, the magic money tree is running out, they have ruled out bringing back PUP payments but may subsidise the most affected areas like hospitality now but only to allow them to continue to pay wages with curtailed hours. The PUP is history because its no longer affordable. They can't bring back lockdowns because they can no longer afford it, Reality has dawned in leinster house finally
No it isn't. Any links?
Is the liberal a shitrag?
If they said the sky was blue and the grass was green I'd need to look outside the window to double check.... utter gutter
It's hilarious, the same link gets shared on 3 topics here and it's "gaining traction"
The liberal is just a dog whistle to get stupid people angry and it's working perfectly.
I don't see boosters making much of an improvement, until version 2 of the RMA vaccines are used. I had assumed we would have had them by now (October/November), as it was supposedly just a 'small edit' of the RNA and as 99.999% was the same as before did not require much of an approval process.
