Which is it, 118 or 20 in ICU with Covid?
I have no idea!
According to what has been said above, Paul Reid has confirmed there are 20 people in ICU with Covid.
Poster was wrong. Paul Reid said around 20% of covid patients in hospital are in ICU.
~20% of ~600 patients = ~120 in ICU (all with covid)
I have provided the link to the news talk article above. I swear people just hear what they want to hear and post on here and very few seem to question it. It then gets legs and people run as if it's fact.
Is this what you mean?
All the figures are in there, if people were bothered to look.
There's a tab "ICU, Hospital & Testing" which has the hospitalisation and ICU figures from today.
But no, it's easier to just run with the sensational, wildly inaccurate, musings of an anonymous poster on here, who clearly has an agenda, and no ability whatsoever to deal with figures.
Almost 6,000 new cases today. 😷
but there was only 3000 yesterday. their statistics and data entry leaves alot to be desired, are you sure they didn't dump a load of positive cases from when they were having technical problems and were just estimating last week. They seem determined to get every positive case onto the system though even if they are no longer relevant
Seamus has just been spotted in a canoe paddling like **** to Sweden
So 9 thousand over 2 days. If you prefer, 4,500 per day.
Its still 9 thousand cases.
Every case is relevant.
The mad thing is we are at a stage where people are talking about "only 3000" cases in a day
OmG, you do understand the difference between 20% and 20?
Fear uncertainty and doubt. Its all a spoonfed scare for the masses
Yeah but it's not about the number of cases. It's about how many cases are translated into ICU beds and deaths. If 3,000 cases resulted in Jo admissions to ICU, then 3,000cases per day wouldn't be any kind of big problem.
The rate of translation of cases to ICU admissions is very different this time last year before the population was vaccinated.
You'd swear with these numbers that they keep pulling out that we all would have had it a few times by now.
And what do you think is the goal of all the uncertainty and doubt that is being spoon-fed to the masses ? What do the feeders hope to achieve in your opinion?
If there are 5million people and 6000 people got covid every day, it would take about 2 and quarter years for everyone to get it once.
But, obviously, the rate hasn't been anywhere near 6000 every day.
So we will all get our Bill Gates microchip implants. Don't you know anything you sheeple?
The number of covid infections is far higher than positive tests. Because some people don't seek a test, are asymptomatic, fall through the cracks in contact testing, etc. With 525k confirmed cases, it's likely that half the population has been infected already.
Use the calculator and come back to back up your post.
It's possible. What differences it make to the prospect of the ICU beds filling up and the pending restrictions to prevent it?
If half the population has already been infected then we've less prospect of ICU admissions and won't need as many restrictions. We'll just have to wait and see.
Dunno. I want to see the real numbers..
Is this real enough for you?
https://m.independent.ie/irish-news/news/covid-crisis-in-icus-forces-transplant-cancellation-while-government-considers-adding-third-jab-to-vaccine-cert-41073715.html
Business Post reporting that the next step the government would consider in terms of restrictions would include limits to indoor dining such as the number of people per table and food requirements for pubs. Government are determined to keep retail open until at least Christmas.
Good to see the government are not considering a hard lockdown and all the awful consequences that go with it.
Back to the €9 euro meal again?
So when those measures were in place, prior to vaccinations, Covid cases were much lower, when they were removed, cases have exploded, and you believe they are “pointless”, who is the moron?
Ffs not the €9 meal bollocks again
I don't believe that we will go back to the lockdowns that we originally had, too many people and businesses found loopholes to continue trading, ie takeaway pints, almost everything being considered essential, and on to of all that ppl have realised that all they have to say at a checkpoint is that they are going to pharmacy/shop/graveyard etc etc.
We will have restrictions, possibly nightclubs, pubs, theater, cinema closed again.
Shops will remain open, but with limits as to how many are allowed in.
Working from home will be encouraged.
And meeting people will be discouraged.
Limits reimposed on public transport.
That's basically a lockdown right there
You’re hilarious pal. Get a life mate.
