Just announced on publicjobs.ie Facebook page that 2022 TCO will open this Thursday 14th October
No link as I'm too new still
Hi Nigel
If you donβt mind me asking what department were you working in when you were made permanent? Thanks a mill
Me too! It's difficult to guage whether it's the correct choice for some.
I start my 3 month TCO contract Tuesday in the finance department. I have never went on any panal but can someone confirm that I'll never be considered for a permanent position because of me not doing so?
Anyone got any tips for completing the online assessment questionnaire? Particularly the scenario/ situational based questions.
All help appreciated.
Thank you very much..π
Anyone started the online assessment yet? Any tips? :P Also has anyone downloaded the info booklet used during advertising and if so could you upload to this thread? Thanks a million! And good luck to all completing their assessment!
Just select what you think is the best answer/s - there is no hard and fast right or wrong answer, when I completed it there was several where I marked more than one as good
Thanks. Just hope I get a passing score! π
Yes completed mine day the assessment went live! For the personality questions, from doing the assessment before, always choose the positive behavioural answer ( if you get me), the situational ones, just choose the ones that paint a portrait of a model potential employee, usually the best way to go about the questionnaire. Ensure to take your time and read carefully.
Best of luck! π
Are there any practice tests for this assessment? I know for the permanent CO position, there are some practice tests to be found on the public jobs page, but those are for things like verbal and numerical reasoning etc. which clearly aren't part of this one. Like did you prepare in any way before taking it?
They're not really the type of questions you can prepare for.
Hi everyone,
I got through to the interview stage and just wondering if anybody has had one recently and has any tips? I know they base it off their list of key competencies and use some of the information provided by the applicant in the application form as the basis for competency based questions. I also had a friend who got asked about GDPR, as well as relevant experience.
I would really appreciate any tips on this as i'm quite nervous. Hopefully mine goes well and good luck to anyone else who has an interview.
Thank you π
Interview already? What score did you get?
Hi, I didn't receive any score yet based off the assessment but somehow got offered an interview so will see how it goes.
Are you on the TCO 2021 panel? It's more likely you're being called from that than getting an interview from the 2022 campaign, seeing as results aren't even out and the assessment window was open up to 08/11
Yes I was on the 2021 panel, however the recent message I received on my public jobs account was an invitation for interview for the TCO 2022.
I'd be inclined to think that is a typo by whomever sent the message. There is no panel formed from the 2022 campaign yet and I can't see PAS opening that can of worms..... but, I could be wrong.
Regardless of which campaign you're being called from, the very best of luck in the interview. I found the interviewers very friendly and easy to talk to.
No, there is zero chance of being made permanent from the TCO competition. You need to apply for the CO competition to be considered for a permanent position. You can have your contract extended if they need to keep you on, but other than that you will finish up after your 3 months.
Yes to be honest that is what I thought myself, Iβll know for sure after the interview anyway. Thanks.
Any sign of results from Stage 1 assessment questionnaire for anyone yet?
We will have the results by Friday, hopefully π€π€
I thought I read that it would be the end of November before results would be issued... hopefully I'm wrong βοΈ
Yes I read that too. 2 more weeks left of November now.
Iβm going off the emails I got for the last comp 2020. I wouldnβt think it would take that long
I think it was on the confirmation page of the assessment... again, I could be wrong.
Iβve done lots of comps, thatβs usually the going of it
It would be great to get them this week, so fingers crossed!
Just saw online there, the nationwide Clerical Officer 2022 campaign opens this Thursday.
(I presume this is the campaign for permanent C.O. positions)
Anyone on here who already applied to the Temporary Clerical Officer 2022 campaign, intending to apply for the nationwide Clerical Officer campaign as well?
Yup, Iβm going to go for it. You never know π
I think I might apply too! Good to apply for anything that may suit! π best of luck with it, Moomooland π
Best of luck to you too βοΈβοΈ
