Ah Sony and their memory cards - remember the Memory Stick Pro Duo memory cards for the PSP? So expensive and then quickly replaced by MicroSD adapters :) no software fun needed from what I can remember though so that was handy
What's involved in getting the SD2VITA up and running Steve? Been meaning to pick up one or two of them, I've a 3.60 PlayStation TV sitting here doing nothing. I'd also like to grab a nice white Jap Vita too at some stage.
Is the ps tv jailbroken on 3.60(HENkaku and Enso)? If so then its dead easy(if it works the same as the vita), probably best to install AutoPlugin 2 and enable and manage the SD2VITA from there(along with the usual good plugins). The SD2VITA itself is about 5-10 euro from Amazon.
No as far as I rember it's on stock firmware Steve. I bought it years ago, and as many of us do here, I've left it in a box since then! Do I need an original Vita memory card also?
I think its the same process on the ps tv. https://www.cfwaifu.com/henkaku-enso/
Actually, I wonder if you can push the PS TV overclock more than the Vita?
First purchase in a good while. Couple of NES games.
This arrived this morning from Ali. It lets you make some adjustments to the RGB signal before it hits the PVM/TV. If your displays Hori/Vert shift doesn't let you move the image enough, this will sort that out. It's a common problem with PVM/BVM displays that the image is usually a little to the left or right and either there's not enough adjustment available, or the settings are awkward to get into.
Anyway, quickly tested and works perfectly with no extra noise on the signal(as many surprisingly good reviews have said). I'll test it out properly tonight via my XCapture-1 card as any extra noise on the signal will stick out there like a sore thumb.
Now I just need to sort out my current retro A/V setup as its not quite as clean as I'd like(especially the cabling). I've made it a little easier on the eyes by not wiring up everything all the time and only hooking up what's needed, but still not happy with it.
I feel so much shame at my cable nightmare looking at that.
And I only have a PC set up.
It was a lot worse when I had everything cabled and powered up. But it’s better now with just the required cables. It’s not like I need that RF to HDMI adapter hooked up very often :)
It will always have a use though considering Warlords on the 2600 exists.
It's an art form of itself
Just an update on this RGB thing . Tested it out last night for hours on different systems and it works great. No problems with any of my cables(csync, sync on luma etc). It's very handy to quickly adjust the horizontal or vertical image on my main PVM as Megadrive is always a little to the left, while Saturn is a bit to the right(none by very much, but I want them all dead centre).
You can tweak the display in most PVM or BVM advanced menus. But this is super quick without any fuss and if you don't need it just power it off and the signal passes through the device. €50-60 well spent.
They're pretty nifty yokes alright, I seen them added to Aliexpress superguns a while back so nice to see a standalone effort as well.
That's the one thing the "HAS" super gun is missing. If it had this built in it would be perfect.
Interesting looking thing, I've never really looked around aliexpress for this kind of unit, nice looking scart switcher just popped up.
The finish on it would remind you of the pull out drawer on a BVM.

I think that one is covered in this vid.
I sent one your way a while back, in case you forgot about it.
You did indeed. I ended up selling that Vita alongside the SD2VITA a while back. I'm going full Cidey here, and would like another one. I want a Japanese white one though
It's nice to know that I have had an impact on the Arcade and Retro community, even if it is only to provide a name to selling your stuff, immediately regret it and then, after an appropriate amount of time has passed, buy the stuff back...
Well, that contribution and campaigning for the destruction and deletion of Golden Axe, 1984 style...
Just from an initial flick through it seems really comprehensive and the quality of the presentation and printing is top notch.
No love for **** games either.
Just won't let it go...
I was talking to the author on twitter and he said he thinks the game is garbage as well but had to be 'politically sensitive' in his write up because a lot of people like it. But you can tell from reading there's an underlying loathing of it.
And speaking of RPGs, good ones this time, I finally finished Sweet Home!
Been meaning to play sweet home for years now! Watch the movie now too?
Some more Speccy games for the only reason as these are the ones I remember playing;
Trashman
Manic Miner
Jet Set Willy
Chequered Flag
Horace Goes Skiing
Can I tell the Chequered Flag story?
Please?
It's definitely worth a play through. Not too long but a faq is helpful for some later obtuse puzzles.
Not sure I'll watch the film, I'll have to look up if it's worth my time. I doubt it will be up there with the likes of House.
Got a couple of these the other day(Amazon UK). It's definitely better than the Mario one from last year game wise, but they really could have dropped the DX version of Link's Awakening in there instead of or as well as the standard one. Still, decent little yolk to mess around with and eventually end up on a shelf to be powered on once a year 🙂
Yes, indeed.
I was puzzled that they didn't put the DX version of LA in there, at least as an alternative.
It's Nintendo....there'll be a Deluxe Version made at a premium price and a whopping 500 unit production run made....
