yes loads
Don't think so because it's costing a fortune, look how many people still on PUP with everything now opened. There are an awful lot of people doing nothing now and many more want to join their ranks, the lockdown s contributed greatly to this.
It's unaffordable anyway with the prospects of interest rate rises next year , the cost of servicing the huge national debt is going to increase substantially, negative interest rates are in the rear view mirror now as the ECB needs to tackle inflation. Already the lockdown s have cost 40 billion euros, almost as much as the bank bailouts now.
His sleeping arrangement is not working either if he is that cranky at 8:15.
I'm not seeing any. Did you put some in your post?
I honestly don’t know what the accusation was. He was very confrontational and condescending right from the get go, disregarding peer reviewed scientific articles that state masks are effective in reducing the risk of transmission. He referenced a paper that refuted it but refused to give a link, made comments about ivermectin being an appropriate treatment even though it’s shown to be bs.
and then made some backhanded remark about having a job. Play the ball not the man. Not that the opinion of an anti mask pro ivermectin zealots means much to me.
Unemployment including PUP is under 8% so not anywhere near as much as it was, plus the government will start to see the flow of all that warehoused tax over the next year or so.
Yep from all those on EWSS, theres some serious warehoused business tax debts and Landlords Queuing up to be paid also, the tax liability for PUP Receipients is miniscule, average €240 and mostly Zero .
Not at all sure what PUP or warehoused debt for that matter has to do with "will there be another lockdown "
Fairly clear now to anyone who wants to see it that there wont be another lockdown. number one it will have zero affect on case numbers or stop the spread of covid, once we open up after 3 weeks, , 5 weeks, 2 months, 4 months whatever time covid cases jump again. its just going through under 12s and their parents now most unvaccinated probably have had it now too, so herd immunity nearly there. only 74 in ICU today it was over 100 about 10 days ago
Ivermectin was approved for human use in 1987.
And then @JoeGuevara goes off on an anti-Ivermectin tirade when I corrected @Sheep breeder inaccurate statement.
Yes, inaccurate statements and incorrectly attributed statements get me cranky. At 8.15 in the morning. I don't mind when someone sleeps/works as long as they can read and follow a thread. Shouldn't be so difficult.
I think you've got your bogeymen mixed up. I am pro-mask Joe...in fact, I've been known to double-mask when I'm feeling iffy.
Cool the jets.
From a public health point of view I could see NPHET advising it but it's absolutely not going to happen. Any idiot can see the current situation is as good as it gets.
All critical thresholds of hospitalisation in Bavaria have been crossed today. I predict a lockdown. At least in this state.
Not until the potential government parties come up with new measures. You seem a bit obsessed with lockdowns.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-11-09/germany-agrees-new-rules-to-tackle-pandemic-of-unvaccinated
Nightmare situation Un1corn with Upper Lusatia with a 44% positivity rate.
Germany overall
1.101.433 PCR-Tests over 7 days
178.849 Cases
Positive rate 16,24%
Probably at least 100K people positive running wild through the population each day now.
Is this in the Tabloids?
Have not seen anything on the normal media.
Yes in January
Why do you always quote the PCR positivity rate in all countries apart from the UK?
You always use the total tests (PCR & Antigen) for quoting UK positivity rate and PCR for other countries.
Sign of things to come
I mean, you haven't gotten one thing wrong in this pandemic so far......
I think it's inevitable that restrictions will be brought back in unfortunately.
Restrictions are likely. Much more likely than a full lockdown. I think most people could live with restrictions again if they become necessary. It would represent a big improvement on last Christmas and early 2021
What can be done in that regard?
In what regard? Do you mean to ask what restrictions are?
What can be done?
😂😂 Who do you think is going to antigen test people at a Christmas dinner? If you even consider this I hope you eat it alone.
Huh? The antigen test can be done by each person before they go to their Christmas gathering.
I will be doing this.
Ask the people who keep banging on about personal responsibility. They'll antigen test themselves without being policed because they're so personally responsible, won't they?
In reality people who bang on about how it should he left up to personal responsibility really mean the dontvwsnt to be held responsible for behaving irresponsibly.
I and my family will antigen test before Christmas day to protect our family, responsibly. I won't need anyone to police my behaviour. The ones who bang on about personal responsibility will probably give out about anyone suggesting they behave responsibly.
The government should start giving out free antigen tests like the UK does.
I can't see any circumstances where there will be a new lockdown.
Maybe people will be asked to limit movement or socialising for a bit but no enforcement.
Exactly. They could also choose from things like restricting public gatherings, imposing the distancing in indoor settings. There are loads of restrictions they could bring back to keep numbers down to avoid lockdown.
I'd be very surprised if they don't bring in some restrictions if they become necessary to avoid locking down.
