Is that the same India that has dropped ivermectin as a treatment for Covid after it disclosed that the studies they had based their initial rollout on were falsified and incorrect.

Merck had already publicly come out to say that Ivermectin was not an appropriate or safe for Ivermectin to be used in Covid intervention https://www.merck.com/news/merck-statement-on-ivermectin-use-during-the-covid-19-pandemic/ So did they hoodwink the Indian medical profession and supplied them with it knowing that they don’t believe it’s safe to do so or was it the other way round and India (and Correct me if I’m wrong was only the state of Goa) hoodwinked Merck stating that the use of it was for something else.
And finally is it the same Ivermectin where the FDA published the attached photo on all of their social media platforms
You should contact the Indian, Bangladeshi embassies /consulates etc and let them know their medical profession have been hoodwinked by Merck and are giving horse tablets to humans as dewormers.
Your insights are impressive.
Ah, and so the moral battleground is morphing. Soon, it'll be those damn vaxxed anti-booster crowd keeping the country back. The sh1tehawks
In June 2021 there was a number of trials about ivermectin as a possible treatment for Covid. However just a month later one of the biggest one was ceased due to ethical concerns. https://www.google.ie/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/science/2021/jul/16/huge-study-supporting-ivermectin-as-covid-treatment-withdrawn-over-ethical-concerns
Any claim that NHS hospitals using it effectively appears on the face of it to be unfounded. There is a number of false news stories about the main reason for congestion in US ICUs is from patients overdosing from it so the false claims appear to be from both sides https://www.google.ie/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/science/2021/jul/16/huge-study-supporting-ivermectin-as-covid-treatment-withdrawn-over-ethical-concerns.
One of the highest profile cheerleaders for its use is Joe rogan who told his 11 million listeners to his podcast about using it, in addition to monoclonal antibodies and corticosteroid prednisone and it worked. The fact that the guy is in prime physical fitness and would have recovered more than likely without its use was disregarded. Couple that with the fact that he has continuously provided medical misinformation and downright dangerous advice while at the same time being completely ant-vaccination has made him a poster boy for the cretinous anti-vax brigade. https://www.google.ie/amp/s/www.rollingstone.com/culture/culture-features/joe-rogan-covid19-misinformation-ivermectin-spotify-podcast-1219976/amp/
Ww
all the talk about ivermectin and its only licensed for livestock to treat worms and parasites.
Like to see this too 🙄
It asks what it will take for a lockdown. We are in a different situation than a few months ago so it will take a lot more cases. I guess that this Delta driven surge will start to drop soon. I doubt that anything less than a new virus or deadly vaccine avoiding variant will bring on a lockdown.
In Portugal all hospitality workers must test at the start of every shift. Also done in many other countries.
in Slovakia parents of primary school children test each week on a Sunday. Also done in many other countries.
in the uk (admittedly not consistent) secondary school kids get tested during the week. Also done in many other countries.
in Belgium everyone get posted at home tests every week or so. Also done in many other countries.
ireland is the only developed nation that considers antigen to be “snake oil” we have the lowest rates of testing in the developed world. However if you listen to rte you would believe we are testing adequately. They conveniently ignore antigen testing, who is really selling snake oil? Nphet are incompetent and should have been replaced long ago.
another lockdown is completely avoidable, there are loads of colds and flus around at the moment. Antigen is ideal for sorting out Covid from a flu. But instead of following science or medical best practice we will tell everyone with a sniffle to isolate for 2 weeks and stay at home saying your prayers.
people are rational, people don’t isolate for 2 weeks when they think it’s just a cold
Can you provide a source for your claim that the NHS are using Ivermectin as an approved treatment?
Cos it appears you are spreading fake news.
No idea tbh but i will say the HSE facility my wife works in has always had difficulty getting staff to even take the flu vaccine.
I hear you but just to be clear, I'm absolutely pro choice on this , I was just curious as to why the apparent hesitation in offering the booster generally to healthcare staff . I too know a few people in two Midlands hospitals and sick leave numbers have never been as high .I'm not suggesting all covid related but a lot out on sick leave .
Bad covid cases admitted to hospital can be treated with ivermectin and sent home the next day. The UK announced multiple line of defences to avoid another lockdown. This new line of defence comes in the form of ivermectin and other pill based treatment. . This pandemic will end whenever they want it to end. ICU has never and will never reach breaking point in this country due to covid.. There's a bigger agenda here so quit obsessing and losing your minds over ICU wards. . If the UK and America are never going back into lockdown , then why TF should we be wanting to go back??
Unfortunately the media and nepet has done a severe number on a large portion of this country. If they had their way they'd want to shut us down until there are zero covid cases reported every day
My wife works in the healthcare sector and they are dropping like flies at the minute with covid but the vast vast majority of them are off for a few days with cold like symptoms and then back to normal. It's about 50/50 in there for and against taking the booster shot also so interesting to see if they try to force it upon them in the next few weeks.
The fact they bought millions of more doses shows they plan on giving everyone a booster so I wouldn’t worry about it. They’ll all line up in droves to make sure their discrimination passes are up to date meanwhile we’ll still be told that vaccines will have no effect on spread and still have to live under some form of restriction.
How can you make the declarative statement?
The whole thing is pretty simple but it is worth separating things you want to happen from things you think are likely to happen, if you want to be realistic.
Do you want another lockdown*? No
Do you think another lockdown can be ruled out? No.
As things stand (and with current projections) do you think another lockdown is likely? No, there would be no reason for another lockdown under current modelling projections.
Do you think things could change? Yes
Are things likely to change? Don't know. Variants and whatever unforeseeable events could change things.
Do you think there will likely be some restrictions brought back in over the winter? Somewhat likely particularly the less severe ones.
*lockdown being defined as the period of most restrictions from the last couple of years.
I was listening to quite a young nurse on Claire Byrne, she's been working in covid wards since the start, she got her vaccines almost a year ago.
Maybe I'm wrong but as if the hesitation is more a fear if boosters being approved for health workers its essentially an admission, Vacinne protection waning albeit most experts have accepted this is actually happening
At a total guess I'd say they're trying to balance rolling out the boosters with getting the remaining 250k (or whatever it is) unvaccinated to take the jabs and risking some of that group saying "ah feck that, no point in getting it if I've to end up getting a 3rd shot...."
Probably an element too of not wanting to be seen to be a rich first world country hogging the vaccines etc etc.
Personally I think they should just lash them out, in the same order as they were given in May/June/July, just repeat the process.
Not that I think there's any remote danger of a lockdown, but getting those 3rd doses going you would think would really knock it on the head in the run up to Christmas.
Heres what I posted in the Boosters thread about this.
Lots of my friends in the UK (mid 30s) working in healthcare have had boosters.
A friend of mine in Brazil, who is a physiotherapist has gotten her booster (yes, Brazil).
All healthy.
In Ireland, no healthcare boosters.
NIAC however, are still sitting on their hands. Approve the damn things, or tell NIAC to approve them immediately, or bypass them altogether. The inertia is a bit ridiculous now.
here you go...maeve here is gagging for an aul lockdown
This is one thing I just don't get - what on earth is the problem? And if there is a problem, why won't they tell us what it is?
It's not like we're short of vaccines (as far as I know anyhow)
It just seems mad that the people on the frontline, at daily risk of exposure to the virus, who were among the first to be vaccinated so most at risk of the vaccine waning, aren't being lined up right now (or two months ago) for a booster......
I'm not making the descion am I? Do you think I agree with all the dumb **** they did over the last 2 years? I'm just going on past form and expecting a lockdown.
The usual response is they cant do that or they won't do that. Well they will do it with some more added bullshit too.
If it came, it would be when hospital numbers warrant it, IMO at 1K in hospital and 150+ in ICU. Even NHPET don't see such a scenario but they do want to keep the option available and it's not ruled out. They also say this will peak soon. Boosters in the at risk groups should mitigate that risk substantially.
They have rightly been able to say "I told you so" quite a lot in the last 18 months, sure whats one more...
NIAC have all the go-to of a slow moving sloth and do things very very deliberately. They weren't asked to look at HCW boosters.
So closing retail yet again is going to save our health system? Sounds to me like a lot of people are looking for us to lockdown so they can say I told you so
Normally don't pay much attention to this but the news stand in the local shop was full of screaming COVID headlines, that's really not healthy
Is there a hesitancy towards giving health workers boosters, I know NIAC meeting today but why the delay, 3500 health workers out with covid related incidents as of today .
I don't get this notion any media are clammering for another lockdown , it's absurd. Some presenters have an obsession with aspects of the Pandemic, Claire Byrne (schools) ,( P Kenny, antigen testing), Virgin Media (Trick or Treating) but I sense media interest up and down like a yo-yo.
Besides the next two weeks will be taken up with the nonsense happening at COP26 , ironically supposed to deal with climate change targets and only yielding of all things , a lot of hot air that's not coming out of cow's backsides
Any links to the media crying out for another lockdown?
