i'm double vaxxed and currently have covid, it's a nasty bastard but i think thats the magic formula, get vaxxed and get covid ....we cant lock down again but we can't fully open up either
Would people even follow a lockdown at this stage in the game? Would the will be there? Initially, fear and a sense of unity got us through the lockdowns but now, i really cant see anyone obeying any 5km or 10km rules. You can only ask so much from people, emergency or not.
Ah yeah but in reality what a lot of people who advocate for personal responsibility mean is that they can do whatever they want and call it taking personal responsibility.
I don't really mind others doing whatever they want, but it would be great if they took personal responsibility if the numbers get to a point where the government decides to impose restrictions. Do the personal responsibility advocates ever say anything to the effect of "Well, I judged my behaviour to be ok but it turns out we took too many risks and transmissions went too high and now I take personal responsibility for my part in restrictionsbeing reimposed"?

We have people on here saying we have to go into another lockdown. Why? Because the numbers are going up and our health system cant cope with it. We cant keep going in and out of lockdowns due to numbers rising. Covid is here for a long time and we need to learn to live with it.

Was out in a pub in town last Saturday night. Place was packed. People out dancing. Going to the bar getting pints, none of this bullsh!t table service crap. Went to a football match on Sunday. Couple of thousand people at it, none of this 200 capacity crap. Thats how we live with covid. Happy with that answer.
