Anyone know if there is any movement with kildare batch? Has anyone been called for interview?
Hi, does anyone have any ideas what number/batch from Mayo have been placed and also called to interview. TIA
I was thinking it was a very high number to be called as they are only on batch 2 for interview
Depends on your batch. They are currently on batch 2
And how long will these batches remain active before expiring? Vis a vis batch 3?
For the interview, is it ok to have notes in front of you?
Does anyone know how long Garda Vetting can take?
My references returned their pieces today so I imagine it’s just the Vetting left now
hi there,
From experience (I’ve been Garda vetted numerous times over the past ten years due to nature of my job) it can take anything from 2 to 6 weeks for Garda vetting to come back.
hopefully you won’t be waiting too long!
HI All
from the Etray
Is the next step interview?
Any idea how long that usually takes?
I had my original application in front of me during my interview however I personally didn’t get the chance to look at anything while I was answering questions so I wouldn’t really think they’d be much use to you.
I wrote out a couple of examples for each competency based on the effective performance indicators on the public jobs website and had them in my mind while I was answering. I hope that helps!
They are currently interviewing batch 2 (I have no idea how many are in each batch), and will then move to batch 3 :)
Hi has anyone been offered interview for Westmeath or Roscommon. If so what oom are you . Just trying to find out the waiting time frame.
Thanks
My OOM for Westmeath is 4 & Roscommon is 1 and no sign of an interview yet! Hopefully we won’t be waiting too long now :)
Do you know when they started calling batch 2 and when batch 3 will expire? Cheers
Hi
I know i most likely will not be reached as i am number 52 on the Donegal Open Batch 2.
Does anyone know as a matter of interest when this expires?
Competition opened July 2020, New competition will probably be July 2022, Panel will be in place until the Interviews have been done for first Donegal batch, could be late 2022 or Competition could be announced earlier. Its a guess really.
Yeah makes sense and most likely correct. I actually thought i done really well in the etray but there ya go lol. thanks for your reply
sorry should be July 2022 for new comp, i will edit my post. I had a nightmare eTray too, I saved instead of submitting, just noticed at the end. Hopeful i will get called to interview at some stage
They remain active until the posts are filled. They have completed batch the first batch in batch 2.
They have called up to 15 in batch 2 so far.
They have assigned 8 from the open in Donegal so far. Not sure how many they have in the batch though.
I don’t know when they exactly started doing interviews from batch 2. I’m currently waiting to be called for interview they have 15 interviewed so far..
Expression of Interview for batch 2 Longford out
Hi guys I just received an expression of interest for interview from my other location choice but I’ve already interviewed for my first location and been given my OOM. I thought I should therefore be out of consideration for the other location or am I eligible to be panelled for both if I do the other interview now?
Does anyone know where The Eo vaccancies are for Laois? Or what dept is looking for staff?
My understanding was that you could only interview in one location and that you were then eliminated from other region?
Its a question thats been asked before but no one seems to want to give their experience....
What Depts are people being put into from this competition?
Is it mainly Social Protection?
I have been called to interview but I am not sure if I should go for it as I might prefer my other county choice...
So hard to know what to do if you dont even know where you will end up?!!🤯
It's hard to say where you'll end up. A lot depends on your county and the services offered there. In Dublin it could be anything from Customs to Revenue to the Justice Dept.. it's a lottery. Other counties would have a DSP and maybe one or two other Government departments from the decentralisation plan. I personally would not like DSP but I know of others who love it.
That was my understanding too but Im confused about being invited to interview for the other location now
Anyone else in the clearance stage (or recently gone through the clearance stage) prior to being assigned to a Department?
My Garda vetting has just been submitted, I know that can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on how busy they are, but Any ideas how long it takes to be contacted by HR about your placement once your clearance Is complete?
Trying to figure out if I’ll be in before the end of the year…
