This is really bothering me, moving forward I'll be considering masking up during winter as I haven't had a cold or a case of the flu now in a number of years.
How is this scientifically possible?
99% drop in flu cases.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently reported that it had logged 1,316 positive flu cases in its surveillance network between September 2020 and the end of January 2021. During that same period last year, the CDC had recorded nearly 130,000 cases.
We went from Summer 2020 single digit cases per day, to a spike of almost 7,000 cases per day around Christmas. With the vast majority of people wearing masks. Yet flu cases here too in Ireland tanked to unprecendented levels. The data demonstrates that masks work at preventing airborne transmission or viruses.
This is a curious case from China, I don't want to speculate about conspiracies, but what the actual hell is going on?
And could cases like these be more widespread than what we've discovered so far?
Thinking logically, the safety measures taken thus far should show the same results as we are seeing in flu cases. Something stinks and my spidey senses are tingling.
