Israel is at about 62% fully vaccinated population and has been for months. We are at currently at about 65% and still rising quite quickly and we are still restricted in many ways so it really doesn't look comparable at all.
This looks an interesting supplement.
Vitamin D is important before you get sick, but appears to do little when your actually sick.
This thing is also OTC (vitamins).
Low hanging fruit.
And results are very good with regards to starting it as soon as you get sick.
Im surprised I havent heard more about this.
It may be better off starting a new thread for treatments, Invermectin looks like it hasn't come to much given the latest study results (and not helped by Malone revealing himself to be a full on grifter). The Regeneron treatment (now renamed) that trump got was approved by the NHS today, for example.
We haven't heard much about Vitamin D because beyond its general positive effect on immune systems no COVID benefits have been shown. Quercetin as the article points out needs more study.
US FDA have written a piece "Why You Should Not Use Ivermectin to Treat or Prevent COVID-19"
They push it on Twitter with the words "You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it."

Seems folks in Mississippi are currently fans of Ivermectin.
Why would people would take the animal version of ivermectin when there is a version for people?
You can get the animal version without prescription on Amazon.
People are stupid, or FDA assume they are stupid.
In Mississippi at least one individual has been hospitalized.
In Malaysia the Health Ministry said that two cases involved a senior citizen and a 35-year-old individual.
"The 35-year-old reportedly took one Ivermectin tablet and had shortness of breath for five days after taking it.
"The senior citizen was found unconscious after allegedly taking 15 Ivermectin tablets at one go," the statement read.
Thats what happens in a pandemic.
All vaccines/treatments need more study in a fast changing environment.
Vaccines are currently under emergency approval.
Talk about pointing out the obvious.
In the USA, the vaccines have emergency approval which is still incredibly rigorous. It's not a thing in Europe. But you know both these things.
Even so, emergency approval is absolutely light years ahead of anything these quack treatments have been subject to.
Butting into another persons conversation.
Quercetin is available in any pharmacy/health store and classed as a vitamin.
I could walk into Holland & Barret in my town tomorrow morning and pick it up.
I would think Quercetin is alot safer than a vaccine.
I took a vaccine but comparing a vaccine that has killed significant numbers to a vitamin and saying vitamins are so dangerous.
AZ vaccine has caused the death of at least 100 people in the UK.
I think your the quack.
Down with the vitamins...
I know what quercetin is, thanks.
I'm also aware that it is claimed to prevent cancer, heart disease, aging, menopausal symptoms, Alzheimers and a whole mass of other diseases. It's some stuff.
I'm not worried about the safety of it (and didn't say anything about it being unsafe, you just invented all of that), I'm just extremely dubious about whether it actually works.
And your point is what?
This is a short lived viral illness that preys on people with a poor metabolic system.
Of course certain vitamins and minerals will aid your bodies defences.
There is not going to be one silver bullet, vaccines and we are done.
HSE's model is to take parecetemol because 18 months ago people thought that was safe and they havent looked into it in 18 months.
It turns out in isnt safe at all.
As an individual unfortunately you have to look into these things yourself as there is a complete vacumn with regards to hse's communication
of treatment.
Just trying to frighten people everyday with numbers.
Hardly mature or realistic 18 months into a pandemic.
There should be a holistic and multi pronged approach.
Attention: you can purchase Quercetin from prominent vaccine skeptic Dr. Mercola as SPECIAL OFFER right now, for $80 per bottle, instead of his regular price of $120.
Article in The Journal summarising the studies re: Ivermectin, concluding it is Unproven as effective against Covid.

My point is that if something sounds too good to be true, then it usually is, but that there will always be less scrupulous people lining up to make a buck out of it.
I guess at least with quercetin you're unlikely to poison yourself so it's only your time and money you're wasting, so go nuts.
Or 20 euro in any holland and barrett shop in ireland along with the other dangerous drugs such as vitamin C and D.
I think what UML is saying is that this is a vitamin, where the advice is essentially "live healthily", vitC/D, Quercetin may help with that if you're not getting these in other ways, but they're not really treatments for SARS-COV2, unless you start counting losing weight and stopping smoking as treatment (which everyone should do as it reduces the risks considerably).
If all of us were 100% healthy nobody would need a vaccine in the first place or end up in hospital.
Your post is a bit simplistic, the reality is 100,000's people even with vaccines are still vulnerable to severe covid/long covid.
Biggest risk to covid is age, have you a time machine for people?
Telling people to stop smoking and live healthy is admirable, but its not going to cut it.

Good article here is The Washington Times about where we are headed with Covid. Ivermectin is mentioned.
"Vaccine inventor". Lol, he has balls of steel that guy.
It's an opinion piece by a VERY biased writer in a very right-wing and anti-mainstream publication.
If you are going to say something - attack/respond to the content of the article. You take the weak road of attacking the writer and the publication.
Probably already posted here but here's the 'vaccine inventor' that wrote that article.
Sure The Washington Times has been duped by Robert Malone. If interested how about reading the article and responding to the content in the article?
For so long Ireland managed to avoid this misinformation, it does seem to have increased recently. Be interesting to see what channels its coming through
We are simply saying that just because you have a big vaccine hammer, it is not necessarily wise to use it for every nail. The American people deserve better than a universal vaccination strategy under the flag of bad science and enforced through authoritarian measures.
The truth is, the seem to be using bad science to make their argument. Here is an interesting article that discuss the mutation rates in coronavirus and why the vaccination programme is so important. The problem is that they'll never get the numbers vaccinated in America that they need for a successful vaccination programme.
Robert Malone is the guy who recently "revealed" he was both suffering from Long COVID and that Invermectin cured it for him (despite him trying to promote Invermectin for the past year or so, he wants people to believe he just started taking it and cured him of a disease that he had told no one he had). He has shot his credentials to ribbons at this point.
I'm seeing a lot more of it pop up day to day on the likes of facebook, usually rallied around a specific weekly topic that a lot of people get behind like the risk of infertility or the use of Invermectin. The Invermectin angle I find a bit puzzling tbh. If you don't want to take the vaccine because you don't trust the ingredients or the possible side effects but you want to push another drug you know nothing about instead?
They will never get the numbers vaccinated in America, or anywhere else, because that number is no longer achievable given what we've learned about current vaccines and Delta.
The article you linked is from January, when we were only just realising how much more transmissible Alpha was as compared to wild type. We are now dealing with Delta, which has a much higher R0, and against which the current vaccines have suboptimal infection prevention after a relatively short time.
Not sure what I make of Malone. There is certainly a gigantic wall of propaganda being brought to bear against him, which leads me, of course, to go to more primary sources. He has undoubtedly achieved some great things in science and been a part of the collaboration over years that eventually lead to mRNA vaccines being possible, which leads to the natural question "why would someone claiming to be the inventor of mRNA vaccines be warning against them?" - but he also seems to feel that he has somehow been deprived of deserved recognition for his achievement, which can in my experience embed bias and bitterness, which both have the potential to warp the way a person operates. It may be that he is a hero ringing a (early) warning bell in good faith or it may be that he is hedging on ringing said bell because if he ends up being right (leaky vaccines and ADE are known phenomena, after all, and signals of the potential for ADE with Delta involving current vaccine antibodies have shown up in (modeled) data) then he will finally be the hero he thinks he should be with all the accompanying plaudits and rewards.
Honestly, it's hard to tell given how obviously propagandistic everything is at the moment. I wouldn't claim to know, definitively. I don't think his predictions/concerns will be able to be resolved for a long time, given the nature of them, though it does seem very clear from the real-world data that ADE is definitely not happening at any sort of rate right now.
