I'm sure I have alright.
Not as many times as your goodself. I've had work to be doing this week.
I don't think I need to say much more than "I think it was a red card".
I'm not really one for dwelling upon that which I cannot change. It seems like an awful waste of personal resources.
So you don't think Small deserves a ban for the shoulder to the jaw challenge? Unlikely to be any action over the other incidents.
Ok, a red card only. I can't agree with that. It sets a bad example, especially when we see player welfare and head injuries in particular come to such prominence. Hopefully the GAA take a zero tolerance approach to these types of challenges, it's the only way to stamp them out.
Hmmm.
It's almost like you're putting words in my mouth.
Let's try this again and I'll make it very clear for you:
Will Enquiring make it to a whole week turning this poor horse's carcass to dust?
Small should get a life time ban .other incidents 3 month bans , split Dublin in 4 , no league games in Croke park . Croke park for provincial , semi finals and All Ireland Final only .🙄
These posts seem to be along the same lines as the Paul Flynn argument, anti Dublin bias he said.
Oisin McConville: Anti-Dublin bias? Anti-Dublin bias is the biggest load of bollocks, that is pure, total, and utter dung, that's what that is."
Actually what i said is nothing like the Paul Flynn argument , please read again
It was the Dublin player who broke a Mayo's players jaw. Unlike what Flynn alluded to, Dublin are not the victims here.
Correct it was the Dublin player who broke a Mayo's player , I said he should get a life time ban , I never mentioned Flynn and never said Dublin are not the victims here
Again please read what i posted good man
You're awfully talented at reading what's never written.
"never said Dublin are not the victims here".
Let's just hope that we don't see challenges such as Small's don't become common place.
Are here , i never said you did 🙄
Agreed we can only hope
Let's hope that you've finally gotten to the end of your tiresome campaign.
Unlikely but sure we can only hope
Some mightn't agree but there's no doubt that player welfare will become a bigger issue within the GAA.
Like you give a **** about player welfare. A quick look through your posting history shows your angle. You have no opinion on any GAA matter that doesn't concern Dublin, denigrating Dublin to be more precise. You're not the moderate voice, the voice of reason or a voice to be taken seriously.
I wish people would stop responding to you and get to talking about the Kerry, Tyrone and Mayo.
If there's any challenges like Small's or punches or elbows or whatever in the remaining matches in football and hurling, I hope the players responsible will get punished also and we don't have any more players sustaining injuries like McLaughlin's.
Have you only taken up watchin GAA recently ? these challenges happen quite a lot in our games Shoulders punches elbows etc
Its a physical game after all and while know one wants to see players getting hurt its inevitable injuries will happen , take the physicality out of the game
and for me it wouldn't be the same. maybe you should take up watching Soccer Tennis or Snooker maybe.
You would swear John small was the first man ever to hit a mistimed tackle. Mayo really love to play the hard done by again and again. Maybe it's a reflection on why the don't get the job done on all Ireland day. Maybe we should come up with a form of Tag rugby for Gaa and let them win multiple All Ireland's at that and no one will get injured.
Obsessed.
Mod: Your thread ban from the Mayo thread does not give you permission to go on the wind up of Mayo fans elsewhere. So you can cut that out now.
James Horan has spoken about the Small hit on McLaughlin today and spoken well on it.
He is a sensible measured kind of fella is Horan, Mayo lucky to have him, just the kind of man to have in charge in a county that is ravenous for that breakthrough and where hysteria can take hold
Whats peoples thoughts on the Mayo celebrations after winning a semi final? I would be very worried if I was them, I always consider it a bad sign when people or teams act like they have achieved something just by winning a game like that.
I always remember Ian Madigan I think it was, crying tears on the field because Ireland had beaten France in the final group game to qualify for the 1/4 finals of a Rugby world cup. I said it showed that Irelands attitude was all wrong and I was proven right immediately, beaten by Argentina in the next game and home with **** all.
So when I see one of the Mayo players saying that it was the greatest day of his life I just think to myself that their heads aren't where they need to be. Semi finals are for winning and nothing else, if your mind isn't immediately turned to the final then you aren't focused enough.
Maybe they will win the final, who knows, but the signs are there that this could be just another bridesmaid show.
Player welfare should be paramount, maybe you’d be equally as vocal about players who have been substituted, not directly involved in the heat of battle, rushing onto the pitch and attacking opposition players...
the same Mayo player I’m thinking of last year, loosing the run of himself on the way to the dressing rooms and punching a Dublin player in the back of the head in another act showing proof of his absolute cowardice as is true to his nature...
so yeah, player welfare ! :) let’s start with Aidan O’Shea... maybe you could both join together and be hypocr... sorry advocates for player welfare. ;)
the same Aidan O’Shea who’s manager on record, believes Aidan should be offered more protection from referees.... they protect him from cards alright :)
Dont see a problem with it myself. They've just beaten what is being hailed as the greatest team to ever play the game, 6 in a row champions and not beaten in 7 years. Finals and semi finals lost by the smallest margins in recent years.
Fair enough, maybe saying it's the greatest day of his life was OTT but he was caught up in the emotion of it.
Absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying the moment, I'd actually like to see it more from GAA teams, and they would have been 100% focused by the time they got to training on Monday.
'There's only one plan'
In fairness, if the player you're thinking of has had his kids lives threatened by the same opposition previously then you can kind of understand things.
