Are you concerned about the destruction of the natural world and climate change?

It looks like we're in a spot of bother.

In a world where all that seems to matter is consumption and growth, we seem to be wearing blinkers when it comes to the shape our planet is in.

I think things are going to get increasingly worse in the coming years and it will start to properly hit home. It seems denying climate change and pollution has been replaced by doomism by many, as in we're Fd anyway so why bother.

People don't seem to want to entertain even minor inconveniences to make things better, so are we royally screwed? It seems to me we're fastly going towards inevitable resource shortages and wars, soon, not in 50 years.

It's a source of anxiety for me, have we any reason to be hopeful?

Why would that happen? Any phase out of oil and gas for home heating will be slow. Improving the insulation in houses will ultimately save homeowners money and make their lives more pleasant. You're just having a moan I think.

Jackboy, the coporate world was historically left alone and went for cheap options to generate electricity and any thing else it needed. We are where we are because profits were prioritised over society and the environment.

If you have a policy for renewable energy and a more equal society that wont cost more in taxes (personal and corporate) . Id love to hear it, you seem like you have a well founded worldly knowledge in whats wrong, care to explain how to fix it?

My brother lives in Malta just under Sicily , 40 there today, he has a 2 year old and is thinking of coming home, Malta is not a good place to be with all the immigrants coming and it’s reliance on imports

If its made entirely from olive oil would it not just be olive oil ?

Are you confusing it with a product like Olivia which is a normal soap with the main oil component being olive oil, but still has the same other crap ?

Tunisia also broke its heat record today. 49c. It didn't just break it it completely smashed it. Old record was 46.8c in 1982.

You mentioned that you use a soap made entirely from Olive oil, presumably to demonstrate your efforts at sustainable life. I am saying that I think you are mistaken, BUT if a soap exists that is made entirely out of Olive oil I would certainly buy it.

I am asking for myself and all other forum readers that want to be as green as you.

Please tell us the brand of soap that is made entirely from Olive oil, as I am pretty sure such a thing does not exist, prove me wrong it will make you feel better and you would be making the planet a greener place by sharing the greenest soap brand info.

In 1800 there was a worldwide human population of around 1 billion. Today it’s around 7.7 billion. The number of animals farmed by humans is around 70 billion. I don’t think the planet can continue to sustain those types of numbers while at the same we use up natural resources for short term economic growth.
