Commission proposal for a common vaccination card/passport for EU citizens
The ultimate goal of a vaccination passport would be to ensure that children who move between countries with different immunisation schedules do not miss out on crucial vaccinations. A similar scheme is already in place for pets and has helped boost vaccination rates, according to the European Commission.
Online sites won't work for me and says to ring the hotline but no answer from the hotline.
We had months to organise this but they made a mess as usual.
Oh yes, it's only a week for Pfizer, it's 14/15 days for Moderna & AZ. You'd be grand then a week from today, hope you enjoy your first meal indoors in a while!
Thanks! I will enjoy a nice indoor pint and meal :)
I received a vaccine in the same centre as my neighbour yesterday. She was 9am, I was 2pm.
He received his cert at midnight, and I'm getting the error below.
Does anyone know if the system is updated once per day, and I'm delayed because I'm after noon or something, or if it could be anything else.
I know it was only yesterday I received the vaccine, travelling at the weekend, and need the cert to do anything in France!!!

Hi DarHan - same situation for me. I was at UCD around 2pm yesterday and still didn't get my email. Website shows me the same error and the hotline doesn't seem to help if it hasn't been 5 days yet. Were you able to get anything sorted in the meantime?
I got my second vaccination in MAY and I'm getting that same error when trying to get ahold of my digital cert. Been trying to reach them on the phone all day today and have just given up.
Thankfully I'm not going on holiday until the middle of September so I have plenty of time but still, I'd like to get it done ASAP.
I was ~3pm yesterday and nothing yet. Rather hoping its a batch process for afternoon sessions not done yet.
Again, someone I know who got theirs in the same centre in the morning has got it!
Nothing yet! My only thought is that cases are until midday each day. perhaps the HSE or whomever scrapes the data at 12 every day, and processes over night! I guess we'll find out tomorrow!
What vaccine did you get? France considers a person fully vaccinated:
Fully vaccinated people: You can travel freely to France. You must be able to present proof of your vaccination status.
Non-fully vaccinated people: You must present proof of a negative PCR or rapid antigen Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of travelling.

Travelling on Sunday, and Pfizer vaccine so need a test to get in, but cert to access services once the 48 hours for my test expires.
Cert arrived 15 minutes ago
Got mine late last night. Maybe they really do this in morning/afternoon batches. 🤷♀️
Jab 2 yesterday at 9am and got my cert at 12am last night.
Does anyone know if I can indoor dine from today onwards or would pubs/restaurants want me to wait til next week?
It'll be next week assuming you got Pfizer, your cert will scan as invalid until day 7
Ah grand! Kinda relieved as I didn't really want to go out anyway this weekend!!
Important question is it on day 7 after the vaccine, or after day 7. I got mine last Thursday, does that mean I can eat indoors from tomorrow?
Is it different depending on the vaccine? I had J&J and got the cert on Saturday and mine is scanning fine.
Scanning in to the app on your phone and scanning in to the app that checks validity are two different things
It'll scan in to your phone app immediately. It should not scan at a pub etc using the validity checker.
It'll scan to your phone so you can store it, scan it on the website that hospitality use and it should come up as invalid.
Yeah your good to go tomorrow, it'll scan as a valid code as soon as day 7 hits in the case of Pfizer
It's 7 days from the date of your second vaccination. Meaning that today anyone that got the second one on the 28 of July will get a green tick, tomorrow the 29 etc. (also the cert doesn't contain the time of the vaccination, just the date, so you could have got it at 11PM but will get a green tick from the morning)
The code that checks that on https://app.digitalcovidcertchecker.gov.ie/ run client side, so it's not hard to verify this. It might be a different story for other things like travel.
I used it to get in to a cafe yesterday!
So this hasn't happened to anybody reading here?
did the cafe actually scan it or did they just look at it and waved you through? I used mine to have lunch last saturday and they scanned the QR with an app that checked it was valid.
UHOH
I'm faced with an emergency trip to Berlin...out Friday morning back Monday afternoon...complicated by fact I'm not vaccinated yet...I'm struggling to understand the testing paperwork
I can get flights with EI or RYR
I can get a Antigen or PCR (but either will technically expire before I'm due to return)
The hotels in Berlin are doing free Antigen or you can goto private crowds for PCR
Question:
Can I travel using the Antigen Test (twice...1x done here and 1x done before I come back)
I "think" RYR accept it but EI don't (I've been holding RYR all morning, Germany not stated on their C19 FAQ, EI I think is PCR only)
I "think" Antigen it's acceptable for entry to Germany...BUT about return/entry into Ireland?
It would be much easier to get the test at the Berlin hotel the night prior going to the airport
thanks
You need an antigen test taken within 48 hours the flight, or a PCR test taken within 72 hours the flight when entering Germany. That's the only requirement at the moment when coming from the EU (https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/coronavirus/2317268)
When coming back, you need a PCR test taken within 72 hours before the flight. Ireland does not accept antigen testing, and if you try to use it when coming back in the best case you will be denied boarding, in the worst case you will land in Hotel Quarantine (https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/77952-government-advice-on-international-travel/#travelling-to-ireland). You will also need to fill the Passenger Locator Form.
I need to vent.
Wife rang yesterday and got her case opened after being on for a couple of hours (we're fully vaccinated since end of June by GP but no sign of certs).
She had just started to give the information to open my case and the call cut off. They can't ring you back. So she tried ringing again but 6:30 came and auto disconnect.
I thought I'd give it a shot this morning, 1hr50mins on hold and I rang at exactly 8:30am. Got through to the same guy my wife had. He's pretty slow but I don't mind. At EXACTLY the 2 hours mark, boom, call drops. I'm raging. We're both on GoMo so I figure there is a 2 hour call limit (which I can't find in T's & C's anywhere).
So I buy a skype subscription and use that. I'm on hold for 1:45 and boom call drops. I'd noticed that the subscription I bought was going to run out so I upgraded the sub. Doesn't matter, it still died once the first sub expired. Absolute bull shite.
Now I can't even get onto the queue.
I'm going to go cry in a corner.
Got my cert exactly one week after 2nd Pfizer jab. Bottom of the cert says status: fully vaccinated.
Its 48 hours before entry, not the flight. And 72 hours before entry for the PCR. So you should also build in a little time in case your flight gets delayed.
Does anyone answer the help line, is there an email address to contact?
