Everytime I get to being put on hold to speak to someone re lack of oh's cert I get cut off .

Anyone know the actual turnaround on cert portal? I submitted a spelling correction change to my surname last week. From the horror stories here about the phone line I'm happy to wait for the portal response, just wondering how long to expect to wait?
I requested my cert on the portal and it said I’ll be emailed it 5 workings days.
it must be a manual processing job for it to take that long.
It's probably an outer limit to cover 99% of certs. You could have it in the morning.
Is it possible to have your certificate on the app offline? I’m sure I read it was here but I’m abroad and unless the Covid app can connect to the internet I can’t load my certificate.
Just download it to your phone.

It is, I've tested mine offline. Once it's there you can get it offline too. I still took a screen grab just in case too though.
Under the regulations yes you need photo ID to prove you are the person with the same name as on on the cert. It all depends on the place though. My local checks the cert but not ID so it could be anybodys cert. Another pub in the area doesn't bother checking anything and I was in a pub today in Cork city they took a photo of the cert and checked my photo ID. Maybe a phone call ahead to explain your ID is fairly old might be worth a go.
Second shot yesterday. Portal says there's missing info - hoping its just that the second shot hasn't been entered yet so will leave off the phoneline from hell until tomorrow at least.

Mine arrived by emailed late last night. Yay.
I rang at 08:29, and waited just 1 hour and 15 minutes. Glad I finally got through, it was my 4th (and shortest!) attempt at getting through. I also have to send all my details to that dccdocs@health.gov.ie. Feels wrong emailing my personal details just like that haha.
I don’t have my digital cert yet but I have my vaccine card and got my second jab today. When can I dine indoors, does anyone know? Are they strict about the week post jab?
I was in town on Sunday (Dublin)
I just had my paper card and ID (I got both jabs in NI), no issue but it was checked in two places I went for a drink inside and the place for dinner

Technically you're not fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after your second jab. I don't know if pubs/restaurants are checking dates like that though. For your own peace of mind I'd wait the 2 weeks.
i called twice, and applied through the portal once.

Applied on the portal Saturday so hoping to get it soon. When I applied it just said we ve matched your details to an on going case and it's currently being processed. It's needed for Saturday to travel
I called monday last week as I had not received my cert and turned out that my GP delivered second Jab was not recorded on their system, so had to scan my card and ID and sent that off. I checked the status on Thursday/Friday and got the same message above, and still today I have not received my cert. Ive been on hold for nearly 3 hours today again to try work out what is going on.
Rang both hotline numbers many times this morning and both are hanging up, is anyone able to get through today?
It’s a week after the second dose for Pfizer. Asked the nurse and its On thecHSE website! Might follow your advice though :)
I would imagine so many people (like myself) are on hold their system is rejecting further calls joining the queue... It seems to be happening quite a lot lately.

With no symptoms and 11 days after the positive tests, you're in line for getting a Digital Covid Cert (Recovery). It's also clear that only the country in which the positive test was conducted can emit the digital cert but all EU countries require some citizen reference such as PPS in IRL or some Health System ID that usually only citizens and residents have. So the Citizens Information Service is wrong when it says:
Who can get and use the DCC? You can get a free EU Digital COVID Certificate from the EU country where the medical event (that is, your vaccination or COVID-19 test) took place. Hang on, may be they are right THEORETICALLY, but in practice, the systems in place for each country would need a temporary reference of some sort for a non-national, and the clinics would also need to refer to this. In fact, it needs a sort of mini infrastructure, which is unlikely in the short term (even in the medium term).
However, I wish I was wrong! If anybody knows of how to deal with this situation, responses appreciated!

Finally got thru after 3 hours on hold, despite sending in the required proof of my 2nd vaccination 8 days ago, Im still not showing as vaccinated on their system, and no closer to getting a cert. Turns out when I rang last week, I was given the email to send my details but not the case number to put in the subject, so my email with all my details was ignored. I'm back to square one. 😡
