Commission proposal for a common vaccination card/passport for EU citizens
The ultimate goal of a vaccination passport would be to ensure that children who move between countries with different immunisation schedules do not miss out on crucial vaccinations. A similar scheme is already in place for pets and has helped boost vaccination rates, according to the European Commission.
I'll be grand thanks.
Is the helpline working today for anyone? I keep getting disconnected after it says "we will connect you to the next available agent"!
Same happening to me
https://app.digitalcovidcertchecker.gov.ie/ this one will give you the details
Yes. We got same message. Rang helpline. Turns out all details were correct but we were not on the delivery system for the cert to be issued. Have been put on delivery system and its now being processed.
Updated cert arrived in email inbox at 1am this morning, exactly 10 days since ringing the helpline
I rang at 8.30 this morning and got through almost immediately.
It was emailed to her, she got 2 jabs in a MVC, no idea why she didn’t get it mid July like many including myself
Just getting the Cert out to people. If you were to scan it at a pub or airport, it would be deemed invalid. Have to wait 7 days.
How do you figure that?
How do I figure what exactly?
I tried today at least 10 times and I'm being disconnected after the message I mentioned in my post earlier. I think I will give up today. Tried on two different phones with two different providers
Yeah, that was happening to me during the week. Press 2, then get cut off.
This happened to me. Received my digital cert last week in my emails and then had another one sent to me this morning. Same as yourself, only the last number of the ID was different (2 instead of 1). Tried ringing the helpline but didn't get through. On closer inspection though, the date of vaccination on my first cert was out by a day, and on the second one it's correct. Now I've no idea how they managed to flag that and update the cert but I'll be using the 2nd one from now on just in case.
Not biting. Stop bulling for it.
Sorry if this is not allowed but can someone tell do I need photo id aswell as my digital COVID cert for indoor dining.
all I have is a Garda age card from when I was 18 (!), am now 36.
my passport is out of date about 10 years.
I don’t drive.
I do have a disabled drivers parking permit. My photo is on that but I don’t know if that would be accepted as photo id
any help would be appreciated.
Same for Me

I’m getting my second vaccine on Wednesday and I have a flight booked for Wednesday 2 weeks later. Does the green cert become valid exactly two weeks later (i.e. at the exact same time of the day that I had the jab) or does it become valid at 00:00:01 in the morning on the Wednesday?
My flight’s a bit earlier in the morning than the time my jab is scheduled for and I’d hate to have a problem for just a few hours difference!
Anyone who thinks hassle free travel with this green pass will last for long is dreaming, countries are already beginning to reinstate mandatory testing for fully vaccinated arrivals, if they are doing things like this in late summer with nothing happening in hospitals, how nuts will things be from November to March with busy hospitals everywhere.... https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/starting-from-july-27-iceland-brings-back-requirement-of-covid-19-test-results-for-vaccinated-travellers/
Anyone have a number for calling the helpline from outside Ireland please? The +353 76888 5513 number doesn't want to connect for me, but don't know if that's just me.
It's probably because there closed today. There open again tomorrow morning at 8.30am.
Will your cert automatically go turn to valid when your protection waiting period has ended ?
Got my J&J vaccine on the 19th July, so with the 14 days should be good to go tomorrow (thank f**k and enjoy an indoor pint)
Possibly, thank you. Didn't work Friday or yesterday either though, but maybe will tomorrow.
It's all about Delta and that's Iceland, one country and not an EU member.
Same here. I want to change an error on my cert. I noticed on the website ( https://www.covidcertificateportal.gov.ie/update-cert/ ) it pre-fills the start of the cert number as : UEN:UVCI:01:IE:
However, my cert begins with URN not UEN. I've filled the part after IE: but maybe the URN is for recovery cert and UEN for vaccine certs? I have filled everything exactly as it appears in my covid recovery cert. Always get an error message..
Anyone know where the helpline number opening hours are posted? I just know it opens at 8:30 from posts here, but can’t find the hours of operation. Or does anyone know of it is open tomorrow as it is a Bank Holiday?
8.30-6.30
Its open tomorrow
Was around there last week . Was the same as my husband still doesn't have his .
Most places did not want to see our cards/ certs only taking names and phone numbers .
Also vaccine cards are fine for indoor dining in Ireland . Enjoy !
Oh this made me laugh , sorry :)
I have spent hours on that helpline to no avail for my husband , not me .
He finally said to me " sure why bother wasting your time ,I can just flash my vaccine card and we"ll book away later on when you get it sorted" !
When I get it sorted ?! 😲
I think it might be a typo to be honest. URN stands for Uniform Resource Name (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_Resource_Name) and it just describe the format of the data. UEN doesn't seem to mean anything, and I can't find anything in the EU documentation on the format of the digital cert, or even just googling around. Certificate for recovery/tests still starts from URN as far as I know.
And R and E are near on the keyboard...
