Lads has anyone gotten their cert updated on the helpline? It's now 9 days (7 working days) since we got through and asked for an update but no sign of the cert yet.

Rang at exactly 8.30 this morning and at around 10, I got the 90 minutes message so was thinking of giving up but someone did answer at 10.15. Was told my cert will be there within 5 days so fingers crossed it will and I never have to call them again...

I rang last week, was told I would have it within 5 days. It never came so I rang this afternoon again.

Got through after 1hr 50mins, talked to someone, on hold on and off several times, apparently there was an 'issue at their end' , now processed again with the corrected details and should have it in 5 days. (the second name on their end was spelled incorrectly DESPITE me going through it all last week)

Its worth trying again as I suspect I would never have gotten it (assuming they got it right this time around)

    Roll on the automated version.

I wonder is the helpline open weekends, Or the bank holiday?

the two times I called , i got through to ladies with English accents maybe just a coincidence or are they based in the U.K. out of curiosity..🤔

So if the vaccine card is valid for use then I presume that can be used in lieu of the DCC while waiting for the DCC to go active after the 2nd jab?

Can anybody offer advice , I’m travelling back and fourth to the UK from Dublin in two weeks , double vaccined since July 6th but no cert yet . I tried phoning the helpline but got no answer

Is coming into ireland from the UK the same as other countries - with the cert no test required but without a cert you need a pcr test 72 hours prior to arriving ? Why can’t the vaccination cards work to enter ireland ! It’s a shambles

They were working last weekend, sat & sun, and yes both times I called they were english :)

It's in the new regulations as an acceptable form of proof for indoor dining and I don't see any reference to the gap until fully protected.

You can get them from here, it's S.I. 385.

I've been trying it for about 20 mins now. Keeps crashing. Basic errors like captchas not loading properly.... not very surprising.

The website's down already, server crashed.

Got all the details filled in and it said to call the helpline anyway. Not sure what use that is!

Managed to fill out my details on the portal and it said it will send my cert to my email within 5 working days.

I had the j&j vaccine yesterday at 1.15pm and just received my cert in an email

My mrs never got a cert emailed to her, used that new online portal earlier this morning & got her cert with no issues

Finally managed to submit my details after multiple captcha issues. Tells me to ring the helpline. **** useless.

Edit: I take it back! It appears that the online form (shite as it is) seems to have taken the pressure off the phone lines. Rang and got through in less than a minute.

Just tried the portal 30 minutes ago. Entered my details. pressed submit and "processing" on screen since. Typical cluster£cuk like everything else with this country.

She got her cert straight away? Or did it say 5 working days?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,754 ✭✭✭gipi

My 2nd jab was on 6th July, and my cert arrived in my email around 6am this morning. Haven't scanned it yet but it looks correct. Phew!

Dose 2 received at 930am yesterday morning

Cert received in my email at 426am this morning!!!

Thought there was a 7 day wait to be fully protected??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,417 ✭✭✭airy fairy

There is. The very won't become valid until the vaccine is valid/fully protected. It won't scan afaik.

I've no plans on going anywhere anyway, I feel like absolute 💩!!

Is there an app or something that can be downloaded to see if the qr code works?

The HSE vaccination card is acceptable for travel to Ireland

I see no reason why you couldn't use the vaccine card while waiting for cert to scan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 743 ✭✭✭sue97

Getting this message. I tried chrome and safari. Any suggestions why. My data seems correct.  “We can’t update your Digital COVID Certificate at this time. Please ensure that you have entered your details, including the Unique Certificate Number, exactly as they appear on your current certificate as well as your PPSN/Mobile Phone number. If you continue to have problems please call our Helpline at 1800 807 008 and they will assist you in updating your certificate.”

Technically no, but if someone looking at it is clever enough, they can count the days from vaccination and if it's not 7 days post 2nd vaccine, in the case of Pfizer, they don't have to let you in to wherever you're going!

It also leaves you wide open to getting the virus head on if not properly covered.
