Commission proposal for a common vaccination card/passport for EU citizens
The ultimate goal of a vaccination passport would be to ensure that children who move between countries with different immunisation schedules do not miss out on crucial vaccinations. A similar scheme is already in place for pets and has helped boost vaccination rates, according to the European Commission.
Crap. Going to Westport Sunday for two nights. Wife has her cert. I'll have nothing. Way the weather is right now - can't exactly bank on outdoor dining either.
Already checked with gp - confirmed, as expected, all details submitted and marked as “accepted” by HSE on the portal. Even got a claim number from them (gp) to try and assist.
Does anyknow know if the day 7 validity for Pfizer the same day of week or the next? E.g. will a cert for a vaccine Monday afternoon scan on Monday or Tuesday?
Still waiting here, 3hrs 20mins.
The American voice needs to go.
Just received a "Digital" Cert via the email from the Gov. It's a PDF, with instructions for printing and folding it. This is a paper cert in my book.
Doing stuff on paper is a joke in 2021.
So where's the real digital cert???
Same day the following week.
Got my 2nd dose last Wednesday, cert arrived this morning. Scanned it to make sure everything was correct and got the valid green tick
In the COVID Tracker app, after you scan it in.
Did anyone's estimated wait time get below 90 minutes? Third day trying now and no one picked up before getting cut off at 6 each day.
My passport has an apostropy in my surname "O'Connor" however my digital cert is just "OCONNOR" , is this likely to cause any issues travelling?
Scan the QR code to save it in the Covid tracer app or download some other app there is one called GreenPass on android can save more than one. Useful if going out with a few people and someone battery could run out.
Leave the paper version safe at home with passport
Got 2nd dose on 11th June with the GP. Still no sign of any certificate. GP says that all details have been sent to HSE.
Tried ringing the helpline several times this morning but keep getting cut off after being told I'm being transferred to next available operator.
Thanks! But shouldn't the Gov email mentions this? How are we supposed to know?
Spent 4 hours and 41 mins on hold last Wednesday to be told none of my vaccines were recorded on their systems. They gave me a case reference and asked me to email in a copy of my passport and vaccine card.
Haven't received any further correspondence since. Now 3 hours 36 mins on hold today to see if they can update me. Due to travel on Monday so I'm not holding my breath. To be fair they chap who helped me last week was sound.
Got through, yay!!! After exactly 4 hours on hold.
Daughter was vax back in March/April, cohort 4.
There was no eircode or email submitted with her record of vaccination at the hospital 🙄
She should have it in the post or email within 5 working days apparently.
Just an update on timeframe for my DCC.
Received the J&J vaccine on 6th July in Boots.
Received DCC via post from the Revenue today, 28th July.
When I contacted Boots they said cert would be sent 14 days or so after vaccine date. So that sounded about right from when I received it today, a week on from that date.
Did they provide you with an email address on how to reach them?
Would possibly be an idea to share that if others could use it and contact the team without needing to call?
wrong post, sorry!
They should definitely mention that you can scan the QR code into the COVID app.
It needs to be highlighted in communications about the cert.
Correct, it seemed like some/many GPs and pharmacies were more than happy to get paid for vaccinating but wanted to spend the minimum time on the admin.
Each mistake/shortcut that was taken by a GP/Pharmacist is costing ordinary people 4 hours waiting time on the phone.
I wonder is there something similar for IPhone? I think it can be saved into the wallet though so no app needed maybe.
A lot of people don’t have the covid tracker app so it’s handy to hear of others thanks
somebody mentioned an iPhone app earlier today that scanned the cert and stored it. I can't find it because the search doesn't work.
Thanks I’ll have a look for it
I'm in similar situation my apostrophe is missing and after the O it's lowercase letters even tho I have the space. I'm not sure if need to change it or not as it's still same name that's on my passport.
Is 5 hours hold thus far normal ?
That was same issue for me. All info sent to them on Friday and nothing back to date

Still haven't got mine 9 days after getting through to the helpline, wife also hasn't received hers after getting through last Thursday.
I assume there is a huge backlog:(
The HSE Vax card will have to do :)
What number is everyone calling to get put on hold for 4 or 5 hours? I keep getting cut off after the initial message.
Same here
Surely they have to move to a self service model, cant be much fun for the call center staff either
