Nobody ever said you'd be waiting x weeks, they send them out in batches after you get your 2nd dose.
The onus is on you to know you aren't fully protected while most countries wouldn't let you in if travelling until 14 days after dose 2 or dose 1 in J&J case
He's right, you're still not fully vaccinated, fly to the UK without a PCR tomorrow, message us from the quarantine hotel with how you get on when you fly back.
Check a few posts back 'ha long bay' refered to it
Who said that? No one official anyway.
Hoepfully you will esp getting your 2nd dose
so much for all this 'you'll be waiting xx weeks for your cert because your not fully protected'
That argument definitely out the window
That was quick. They clearly are not issuing them in jabbing order..
Getting my 2nd vaccine Friday so hopefully i will be back drinking indoors next week
Got my covid cert earlier and only got my vaccine Monday.
Indoor dining for me then when they open.
Personally i think everyone should be allowed in a restaurant/bar if they are vaccinated or not. It's a person's choice if they want to get the vaccine.People should not be put under pressure to get it. It's sad state of affairs when you see these restrictions being brought in. It's the height of discrimination against unvaccinated people
Hi guys I’m just wondering have we any indication yet when late night bars can open again? This 11:30pm closing time is a pain.
That still leaves the other problem..
Baby powder and a spare pair of socks.....
Fair play and best of luck
The one you explained is the one that annoys me the most and is so idiotic. Covid is smart enough to know when you're working and when your not. This Government and health officials are really unbelievable with they stuff they come out with. naivety at its best
So after having basically no income since xmas after quitting the bar I worked in because the owners were just grabbing money and couldn't have cared less about staff safety I finally met with an owner who has been closed since the first lockdown and is reopening their doors next week, went over all their plans in place to keep people safe and try and enforce these crazy rules and am gonna be back pulling pints and mixing drinks (and making money :D) from next week. I'm dreading the state of my feet 5 hours into that first shift though...
Now I can't drink in the place yet because it is too dangerous for me to be inside a pub without being fully vaccinated (and the only exception is if I'm being a productive cog in the almighty economy) but I should get my 2nd jab next week so just a few more weeks...
Easy enough to get an app up in the short space of time. To be honest they don't even need to build one from scratch, plenty already available. Sure you can download one in 2 seconds and scan your own digital cert and it'll give you all the info you need
In alot of pubs you see people going in and ordering & in another post places you've been in having music, nothing wrong with a bit of background music but I've seen with my own eyes places being told by the Gardai to stop with the live music, if they can't abide by the rules they'll close them, it's pretty straightforward to follow & easier than losing a licence over. Is it right that its happening, nope we all love a bit of music but unfortunately it's the way it is.
You seem to be in multiple pubs that aren't really following any guidelines so on table service. I'd love to know what your definition is of alot of pubs because I've been out most weekends since outdoor opened up and seen none of that, only time your allowed inside anywhere I've been is to go to the toilet and that's it. It's not that hard to sit at a table and wait for your order to be dropped over.
U25s outside and over it inside... get a grip, if someone's vaccinated they're entitled to be inside come next week.
But sure as we've seen on thread before you seem to have a story for everything, dickie knows best appearently
Ring ring..
A..Hello Boardsies restaurant and bar,
B..Hi I'd like to book a table for four at 7pm on Tuesday night.
A..Certainly Sir, that shouldn't be a problem, are all of your group fully vaccinated?
B.. myself and my wife are, but of course my kids are not.
A.. sorry Sir, I just checked and we have no availability on Tuesday or in the foreseeable future
Beep beep beep
Ah sure im on the road and hopefully be enjoying my indoor pints Mid August. Heading to Cork for a few days next week but sadly indoor pubs not on the cards due to obvious reasons but
Yesterday with J and J means you have to wait a while before you’re fully vaccinated.
edit: as was pointed out in the post before me which I didn’t see.
Just note you won't be fully vaccinated for another 13 days if you got the jab yesterday.

Yeah i got the J&J yesterday
If they are then it makes a mockery of the point of the COVID cert. Are you fully vaccinated btw PTH ? I ask because you’re very wound up about pubs opening indoors. I’m not so these new measures won’t matter to me for a few weeks more.
they can drink in hotels or beer gardens
i was in a pub last weekend that had a speaker with tunes blaring outside sat night. also another pub with a lad with a guitar playing in beer garden
Will watching a match in a pub still be a thing? With limited capacity you'd have to question the cost of the various different subscriptions if you're a publican
I doubt live music including DJs will be permitted for the short term
Its makes people raise there voices, encourages gatherings and all that
i think we all know the pubs where there wont be much checking of vaccinated or not, whats working well in a lot of pubs i see is people going in ordering there pints and going back out again. so you go straight up to the bar. probably the easiest thing is stick a dj on for the u25s outside and let everyone over 30 inside.
I hope they bring back prohibition. Sick of the sight of beer, I've drank that much since the start of June
The family thing could cause an issue, can't see many pubs being happy having to close off 2 tables so a dad bringing his son to watch the match, but the rest seems reasonable. Hopefully a full overhaul of the intoxicating liquor act is coming.
Suppose it's acceptable bit the last point could be chaotic esp with the usual Irish chancer mentality (ah bud I'm vaccinated I forgot my cert, ah I didn't know I had to bring it etc)
Let's hope by mid- late Autumn normal service will resume in terms of opening hours. House parties are been driven by this 11.30pm close
I wonder will vaccine cards be accepted as proof (the one saying your 2nd dose date or for the J&J saying your vaccinated
