Got a confirmed vaccine appointment - Post your age and appointment date.
So we can see exactly what ages they are vaccinating at any time.
Dont post if you've already been vaccinated.
Obviously I havent got an appointment to post, so am curious to find out what age they are actually doing at the moment.

50 year olds were getting first doses today in some vaccination centres. Look back over the thread and there's quite a few 50 year olds getting first doses over the next couple of days.

My doctor rang me to go and get a vaccine today because they had so many cancellations today.
Good for me, 45, but I wonder why so many cancellations..

people who live across the road from the Greystones centre are being sent to the Aviva. It's because the Arklow centre never opened, so all the south county hillbillies are being sent to Greystones.

J&J and AZ was never going to be forced on under 50s. It's only the brave souls that chose to accept it.

What is quite stupid because it is much easier to get to the city centre from the South by public transport then to get to Greystones. And not everyone has a car or wants to drive after vaccination....

True, but NIAC were still going to say it was ok for under 50s to take it

And then there was going to be the convolution of how someone under 50 who turns them down then gets back into the system for Pfizer or Moderna

It looks like the under 50s now won't have to do that thankfully

I agree, I had to text back new twice to the vaccine due to work committments and the distance I had to travel to the centre (over 40 miles). Another problem was the short notice less than 12 hrs to apppointment. I rang my GP and got an appointment for Pfizer for next Friday. Now it is over two weeks since I heard from the vaccine portal number, looking online I am still awaiting first appointment. if i get an earlier appointment at the centre I will take it but for now I am over the moon at getting the call for next Friday. I am 56!

I brought my prescription.

To be fair to my doctor he had called me 3 weeks ago to get my details, but I just do not fancy walking around with Type 2 in this current environment any longer.

Reading on the vaccine appointment thread and there have been a few no shows earlier in the week but today the turnout was so bad the the centres contacted local GPS. The GPS rang as many patients from all age groups and told them to get to the vaccine centre immediately if they wanted a vaccine today. It seems the rain put off people attending their appointments
