Along with PoS, EIP1559 is coming and will make Ethereum more deflationary than Bitcoin.
Worry not, Padawan. Ethereum isn't the enemy of BTC, it's going to be the road it travels on when it's in the hundreds of thousands and you want to spend it or use it on chain without regular crazy fees (unless you want to keep it on an exchange and use Liquid?).

Have sold a percentage of BTC, and lucky enough to sell a % of Eth this morning at 24 hr peak. Not bothered with the alts yet, hoping these gains cascade down to them at some stage.

It can work both ways. The fact that it was made flexible could technically both load to supply inflation and deflation. But yes there isn’t the type of certainty you have with Bitcoin.

Yes indeed, Revolut is fine for the masses who just want an easy way to "buy" and then sell later. It's one of the reasons we are seeing the gains we are. If anyone has ever looked at crypto on Revolut, then it starts producing a daily "X crypto is up Y amount" notification, which is incredibly enticing for the uninitiated. The stock market for joe public.

It's also lightning fast for use on exchanges like Coinbase, e.g. cash from CB to Revolut bank account or vice versa takes seconds to transfer with tiny fees (ironically faster/cheaper than most crypto I use)

I am selling a significant chunk in this bull. 99% of crypto is garbage or solutions to problems that don't exist, e.g. my BTC does nothing, doesn't produce anything itself, doesn't do much more than when I got it years back.

As mentioned, it's mainly herd psychology, which is why crypto is currently going crazy, pyramid mechanics, and many of us called this bull a long time back.

But Revolut gives you exposure to price movements in bitcoin, Eth etc and it's easy to transfer any gains back to fiat currency (euro, USD etc). It's not a bad option for beginners to crypto.

My AIB debit card is the one linked to my Coinbase account, never had any issues, 18 months since I bought anything with it though.

Was driving myself insane with all the price checking and decided that I'm not getting into ALTs after what happened at the beginning of 2018. Even though it was slowing down and there'll probably be a correction soon, I sold my XLM and ETH for BTC that I'll park as a long term thing and come back to it when there's something it can really do for me.

Of course I'm now absolutely raging that my portfolio is down 25% in USD on what it would have been if is just left it alone ffs!

BTC hit 35 k , an increase of 75% on previous ATH, will ETH follow suit and go to 2300 ?
