Solar PV Performance Thread - Post your monthly output

I think it would be very useful to post Solar PV monthly generation figures. Not only could it highlight a problem further down the road, but there many be many owners who are getting far less than they expected (or promised by an installer) and would welcome feedback from other owners.

Of course, there are so many factors involved. Your location in the country (or abroad for our international boardies), your array size, your array direction and the panels mounting angle.

I just use the default. It didn’t make a huge difference which one I used the last time I checked.

Edit: Let me correct that. I found ERA5 to be closest to my real output.

weather wise august was decent, but to get a good window of 2-3 good days to cut silage was tough, weather was very broken with a lot of rain.

Sorta like you'd get a good day and then a wet day.

Got the barley cut in the last days of aug, then another 2 weeks of broken weather when we finally got some dry weather to dry and bale straw. Ground was still V wet in places.

August was pretty average, And sept started off poor but finished well.

April/May/June this year were scorchers, the talk was you didnt want to leave the grass lying too long or it would get TOO dry!.

The predictions are just a rough guide, the real kicker will be the actual savings on the bill.

I've just got copies of all my old bills back from Energia so I can actually compare month by month from the pre-solar days.

I am Dublin North city E/W too. You best and worst days match mine but my per kW production was higher than yours. The slope of the roof and the exact E/W orientation must be slightly different. I got 17.8 and 18.2 on the 3rd and 13th with a 2.4/2.4 E/W 100/280 degree split.

Have you looked at your yield / generation per string ? And look at the yield per string vs the volume of panels on each

My panels are not equally split. I've 1.8kw on the front East facing and 2.4kw on the rear West facing. That's probably why we have a difference Although I notice you have more panels than I do too.I'd say I'm more like ESE / WNW facing, as the sun is definitely on the rear panels for a lot more of the day.

Yes that would explain it. In the shoulder months, tilt, orientation, split can all have outsized impact.

Indeed it was maulbrook , I could only manage 588kw with my 6.2 system .
