Even with almost 50% of Swedish households being single occupancy, per capita Sweden has 60% more Covid related deaths than Ireland. The combined population of the other three Nordic countries is 16.75 million. Per capita Sweden has 7 times their combined total of 1239 Covid related deaths. So no wondering needed. But this is a vaccine thread, so maybe more relevant that Sweden have placed an order with the Anglo Swedish company Astra Zeneca for 6 million vaccines with an option to buy a further 2 million. They are in discussions with other companies to purchase a further 10 million with the intention of commencing vaccinations early 2021.
