399 for the digital console, I'm set. Launch window is poor but I'm basically getting this as a hopefully silent PS4 with next gen benefits anyway.

Was keen on Mile Morales before as I enjoy the shorter versions of games (like The Last of Us side story and Dead Rising Case Zero) but do not fancy all the cut scene gameplay at all.

With both Sony and Microsoft having cheaper digital only consoles, you have to think that's the end of GameStop. The likes of Smyth's, Amazon and Argos will keep selling games but even if that half the people that buy a console go digital, specialist game shops are toast.

Underwhelming enough presentation overall given that not alot has been announced for launch. Even Miles Morales still vaguely says "Holiday 2020". Demons Souls looks good but no date doesn't give much confidence it'll be out soon. The prices are as I thought.

The GOW2 reveal at the end wasn't unexpected imo, but the 2021 date certainly was. If that goes as planned, that's a huge 2021 for Playstation.

Will still pick one up at launch if I can even if there's not alot of exclusive PS5 games immediately available.

Watched the entire thing - gotta say I'm utterly unimpressed. Nothing that screams "gotta have this". Same for Xbox X/S, really - most games look like they'd be able to run on current consoles, not to mention gaming PCs.

Graphically, I suspect FS2020 has kinda broken a lot of eggs by going "well boys, THIS is what truly 'next-gen' looks like".

Finally - I don't get the hate for the white colour...am I the only one who has a white TV stand?

I am very worried about Demons Souls Remake after watching that presentation.
Visually It looks incredible but the problem is Bluepoint isnt Fromsoftware and you can tell they are putting there own spin with the game mechanics and the tone has been completely changed.
Character animations looked off to me , but I hope it will be a different experience if I play it .

Don't think I'll be getting on launch but in the new year when a few more games arrive. The series S will clean up at it's price point with parents.

So Miles Morales and Demons Souls basically confirmed for launch. Its looking better now so. Bizarre they didn't have that after the Demons Souls demo assuming thats true.

US prices are always excluding sales tax.

I might pass on it. Pretty much a choice of build new PC, buy Series S as cheap next gen(ish) console, get the Ps5 or just play Cyberpunk on the PS4 pro (only game im interested in buying new).

Probably lean to the latter, and get the Ps5 when they do the inevitable smaller console in a year or two. Although if there's plenty of stock come Christmas, I might change my mind on the Series S

I figured the presentation has been recorded for weeks.

It was rumoured to be called project nimble or something. They were probably waiting for MS to make the first move.

Doesn’t make sense to withhold that information if it helps them out hugely.

Demons souls looked ****ing sick!

All really familar but with stunning visuals added and vicious looking character animation.

Love it can't wait to stand in front of the Boletarian castle again with **** all on but some broken armour and a rusty sword!!

Few random predictions for tonight:

- An update/upgrade on PS Now, maybe bundled with Plus like others say.
- A teaser of a big 1st party game that won't be out for a couple of years, GOW2 maybe.

And the big one...

- GTA V next gen gameplay :pac:

Got most of those right(of course they weren't crazy predictions), apart from the GTAV gameplay

And the GOW2 release date! Didn't expect that.
