Opinions on onlyfans and adult entertainment industry

I have been a dancer in Dublin for a decade started in my early 20s a lot of the girls I work with are sound and believe me it’s definitely nothing you see on tv. However Ireland seems to have this negative attitude towards women in this industry or deems us all sex addicts or easy when the woman who gets bread in her local supermarket could be doing all kinds of dirty things that’s way worse than dancing and it seems to be okay because she’s doing it for free I don’t get the mindset of some of these people we have stage names in work to protect our identity.

Part of this job comes with a lot of stigma there’s been a few girls who had people find out their day jobs and contact their boss to try and get them fired it’s normally women who rat them out and try to ruin their lives over it. There’s nothing I’d love more than to be open about my job and how it’s helped me get through some dark times in my life but I just couldn’t handle all the derogatory labels and insults and lows people will go to try and ruin your life over it. Since covid hit I don’t know how the strip club industry in Dublin is going to survive.

I want to know what your opinions are on strippers and the likes of using onlyfans to make money nothing you say is going to bother me it’s more curios why people have a begrudging attitude towards these things when they do worse things for free with their husbands boyfriend or a random Jack the lad from coppers In Dublin on a night out.

Not many care as in ohmygod! like you are implying. But people do have a natural tendency to evaluate and hold personal opinions, plus some sensory imprints are rather lasting and formative. I think anyone who does OFs is perfectly entitled to make their own decisions, as long as they are of age, no issue, everyone is free to live as they please. The only issue is the example and the trend it sets, and now you have 1000's of kids signing up, using fake ID's and getting on there, and OFs take no responsibly, the law regarding that needs to change.
You can't fake ID your way to a drivers license, so not a lot to ask of a site like OFs worth millions to verify their users correctly, not this bull of ''are you robot'', ''or click here if your over 18'', or to bypass their verification process using a simple scan of your ID then editing the date of birth by 4 years to make you 18. That does not work in real life when applying for a job, or a drivers license , or passport,so on. So it shouldn't work online.
You look at Government websites, how you prove your identity, should be same process on OFs.

It's hardly anything new. Cam girls were very popular two decades ago. Dunno why onlyfans receives so much attention..

I paid for them ages ago. There's a different feel to it compared to porn, and the interactive nature is kinda addictive for a while, due to the personality of the presenter (There was also the novelty factor since it was relatively new).

Ultimately the superficial nature of the whole thing becomes too much. At least for me... I guess some people prefer to escape from reality. I just got bored... but it held my interest for a month or so. Since then, I'd say I've used such a site maybe once or twice in ten years? Its something that seems never warned about but I often wonder what is the level you can go until the hinges fall off.
