FSG must have had a record amount of stories the last few weeks from the media crediting them for the teams achievements. There are a few lapdog journalists around the club though who basically regurgitate what they are told to say so its hardly surprising.

I don't think they have any connection with the club other than seeing a big investment opportunity that they will look to make a profit on eventually as we were got for a bargain price. Probably a good time when Klopp is still around as he and Edwards produced miracles the last few years while balancing the books in our favour more often that not. Those 2 cover a lot of cracks as they are overperforming for what they have to work with.

I'd be lying though if I said I didn't find it a little disconcerting. Growing up I remember Ferguson's team being in tip top shape but it never stopped him from dipping into the market and adding one or two big signings every summer. I guess he didn't trust his team to stay competitive amongst themselves while Klopp does, and I suppose I can live with that. :pac:

It really took hold around the Van Dijk saga the summer before he signed, and has carried over into every name linked to the club since whether there’s any truth to the links or not. If the paper prints a story about them they should be signed or else it’s the owners being frugal.
