Are you traveling outside of Ireland in the next few weeks?will you go now because the coronavirus is getting worse or will you cancel?
Im due to go to prague in 2 weeks and i don't know if i should?

Thanks God they are still flying despite all the efforts by current Irish government to kill all the aviation industry in the republic. If I was O'Leary, I would have moved all Dublin's Ryanair base over to Belfasr already, Ireland turned into a joke country now.

Haven't holidayed in Ireland since 1996, hospitality sector in Ireland is a complete ripoff.

Or you know the government should do it... because that's their job. What's the point of the locator forms otherwise?

Passenger locator forms have flight details and contact details. What do they need ryanair for? If the government had any sense they would have included a section for seat number to allow contact tracing of the relevant people instead of needlessly worrying someone who could have been 20 metres down the plane.

Ryanair and aer lingus are disinfecting their planes, requiring masks, no queueing allowed onboard, hand sanitiser at boarding gates, no cash handling etc. That's where their responsibility ends and rightly so.

Most doctors and health chiefs in Europe will echo that. Ireland hasn't a clue. The health system under this Government has become sub standard. There are countries with double the cases as Ireland but with only half the deaths.

Gudrun Widders, an official at the local health office in the Berlin-Spandau district, told the Bild newspaper that no one in the family has required hospital treatment.
She said that the health office had made repeated attempts to contact Ryanair so that the airline could contact other passengers who were on the plane, but that it has “so far had no feedback”.

It is not known if Ryanair has reacted to the information and informed other passengers who were on the same flight as the couple.

So while they send emails to inform people of lost teddies they don't inform people that they may have been exposed to someone with covid.

Furthermore they don't enable public health authorities to carry out contact tracing. Bloody disgrace.

This is the governments job. Not Ryanair's.

So you're in favour of them not engaging with contact tracers after you've been on a plane with somebody who is infected? What kind of a bizarre death wish is that to have for your loved ones.

Do germany not have a government? Private companies should not be relied on for things as important as contact tracing.

Ryanair is an airline, not a healthcare company.

Covid is not going anywhere. Take precautions, take personal responsibility for your health instead of relying on ryanair, and get back to life.

The science is actually saying the exact opposite to your opinion. Flying is very safe while maintaining good hygiene and wearing a mask.

I'd be a big advocate of testing before flying abroad or returning. But its difficult to see how a practical solution can be brought in. It would be great to see a 3 hour turnaround test rolled out at European airports. The problem of air travel has been known since March and there's still no consensus how to roll out fast turnaround tests.

Spain for example now has a peak of 40 cases per 100,000. If 100 Brits were infected there, it seems absurd to punish the other 99,900 with a two week lockdown.
