Selling a mask made out of dirty fabric seems a bit iffy, but using recycled material, whether from clothing or sheets seems quite eco-friendly. And washing a fabric mask before the first wear, as well as after every subsequent wear, seems only common sense - you don't actually know anything about the person who made it (unless you made it yourself, in which case you know exactly why it should be washed).

So even if someone was selling a mask made of dirty sheeting, it would be clean by the time anyone with basic intelligence wore it anyway.

I saw a very elderly woman in a shop today. She was wearing a mask but she kept on touching the mask and touching her face, constantly adjusting it, I was terrified for her. She eventually gave up on the mask and took it off as it appeared to be too much of an annoyance to her.

SHe is making an effort though unlike some who just try to walk in without them because it is an infrigment on their personal rights or some such.

Its a bad idea to put the mask on for first time just as you are going into the shop.

You need a few tries at home to get it to sit right.
I see people cycling bikes with masks on.
People walking hundreds of metres.
Not adjusting their masks.

If you can tie shoe laces, put on a tie you can put a mask on properly.

And she put herself at higher risk. I was genuinely frightened for the woman. There are plenty more like her who incorrectly use masks. We've all seen them.

I've not seen anyone sell a mask out of a soiled or used bed sheet. Clearly, you have no evidence of this and are talking out of your rear.

I've been out in the real world dealing with people throughout the entire pandemic. The same eejits that were calling for the country to be locked down until there wasn't a single case of COVID left are the same ones banging on about masks and ignoring the fact that they don't work safely for everyone. #GWANOUTTADATANDIGNOREREALITY

I don't give a toss if you're laughing at the points I'm making. Fair enough if you don't believe people are making masks from dirty old bedsheets. Fair enough if you don't give a **** about people, particularly elderly people, who are at higher risk of infection due to incorrect mask usage.
