This is coming from someone who travels extensively, but will not do so this year outside of Ireland, getting with the program! Ah no I just couldn't be arased with the hassle of it all and potentially bringing it back home or infecting ourselves. It is just us and our risk assessment. I hope that's OK with everyone! BUT... I am not very happy with the idea that flights and tourists/visitors are allowed in willy nilly without any Quarantine restrictions either. That's a disgrace for sure. But it is FF, afraid of their own shadow or upsetting anyone home or abroad. LOL. Mixed message there, stay home, but everyone is welcome here from hotspots. Honestly.

Based on my own experience so far I really recommend that people make their own decisions as that blanket no non essential travel advisory is nuts. I feel very sorry for people who obeyed the Govt advice, lost money and may well be staycationing in much riskier situations back home.

There are now more active infections in Greece than at any other point during the pandemic – 2,205 people in Greece are known to have the virus right now. On Friday, 60 people were confirmed to have contracted the virus, the highest daily number since April 21. More than 100 new cases reported in the last 10 days have been among incoming tourists. British holidaymakers are due to return to Greece from July 15, with UK flights resuming on that date. However, Greek authorities are now considering introducing stricter lockdown measures, potentially from as early as tomorrow (July 13).https://uk.yahoo.com/news/travel-news-greece-considers-second-084836950.html
As we are now approaching 14 days since airlines have resumed service, it would be interesting to find out how many (if any) flight attendants have become infected within the last two weeks. If none, it would certainly be a strong case for the safety of plane travel with masks.
