Hey so I have been seeing some stuff on social media that this is going to be officially announced this week?
Anyone know if this is true.....if so I cant wait, I absolutely loved the first game!!!

The map is only for the big open world of Downtown Seattle. After that, it won't open anymore via the touchpad but can still be viewed in your collectibles.

The lead up to the hospital boss fight was more terrifying than the boss fight itself. Everything from the eerie music, the slow walk with Nora, her wishing you well before entering (and thus highlighting her stupidity later on) and everyone talking about how bad the lower floors are to the long trek to the generator

... and then it turns into 80s action horror shlock.

The new enemy type was actually leaked about a year ago in an art concept so I was expecting it but in the game it was just gross. Remember when clickers were the most menacing enemies? They're the trashmob now lol

I'd imagine I'm not long from the end. Should have it beat by tomorrow I think and then it's platinum clean up.

Holy ****, i love this storyline and really liking playing as Abby and her crew. Instantly sympathetic with them. ****ing guns on Abby!

Solo failed because it was a film nobody wanted and nobody asked for. Nobody asked to a see a young Han Solo movie without Harrison Ford. It also didn't help that it came out so soon after another Star Wars film. Disney tried to do the Marvel formula with Star Wars but Star Wars is not Marvel. You can easily get fatigued by it if release dates are so close together. It had little to do with The Last Jedi otherwise Rise of the Skywalker would have made even less than Solo.

Bigot money spends just as well so they lost their dollars.

Evidentially not if sales are anything to go by.

You could equally argue that the controversy about the game caused more people to go out and buy it and people who might bot have been interested wanted to make up their own minds and see what the fuss was about. Regardless, the aim of any product is to sell well and being the fastest selling PS4 game of all time is success in anyone's book. It'll probably go on to outsell the original.

For all we know we could be playing as one of the fireflies in this game and Ellie and Joel are the antagonists, that would be an interesting twist.

Posted the above in 2016 when the first trailer dropped. Just finished TLOU2 today so thought I'd return to it. Unfortunately I kind of feel like my old comment holds true, at least for me. Having played through the sequel I can honestly say yeah, I really do wish they didn't return to Joel and Ellie's story.

I know there's a spoiler thread so I'll keep this quick and spoiler-free.

I'm pretty disappointed with this. Just like the first game, the gameplay does not do a whole lot particularly interesting, outside of looking gorgeous. I find myself getting bored playing this game. I probably need a break from AAA games at this point as it just felt like I'd already played this game 1,000 times. The gameplay is fine, it's functional, I'm just bored of it at this stage. Loot the drawers, craft the things, sneak the sneaks, etc etc. The first game got a pass on this because the story was so good. The story in this one? Well, not so much...

I kept playing and playing, waiting to see what caused all that gamer outrage prior to release. What are people so angry about? I'll spoiler tag this stuff even though I'm not spoiling anything, just general stuff about the story.

Were people mad because you play as a homosexual girl travelling with her girlfriend? Or as a trans person? Or because there were trans people in the story? Who fcking cares?

I get that people were upset about Joel, but he had it coming. The whole lodge thing was done terribly, and to me was indicative of how much more poorly scripted / written this game is compared to the original.

I'd say you'll be a few hours short to be honest. Handiest thing to do is check how many hours you're in, most people finish it in 28-30 hours so if you're say 24 hours in you should be able to push through to the end.

Other thread is for full end game spoilers. This is spoiler tag as you go so you can discuss parts you are at.... Safely. True though, i seriously need to get a move on. The only part i was spoiled by the leak already happened so I've no idea on the rest, want to keep it that way.

It took me just under 30 hours, I did a lot of exploring early on but around where you are

on the island with abby

I just blitzed through it, didn't really stop to take it all in because I just wanted to get the end even though I did really like the game. Just really wanted to see how the story would play out.

Even after the island and the farm I thought that last section in Santa Barbara was pretty crap. I liked the setting and would like a zombie game set in a warm climate like that rather than all doom and gloom. However the rattlers just seem like a half arsed faction, no backstory and the game basically just says these are really bad guys who keep slaves and torture infected. Also didn't make sense to me that they would have the military grade machine gun with silencers etc. while the WLF have only basic weaponry. The attack on the mansion was such a drag as well, only fun bits were releasing the clickers and watching the chaos. After that it was just enemy after enemy until I finally got to the beach.
