Are the vast majority of non mask wearing people not bothered to vote? Results definitely not reflecting what I see all over Dublin on a daily basis. I had the misfortune to be at Beaumont Hospital during the week. Sat outside for two hours waiting for my wife. You could tell who were staff and who were visiting. Staff coming & going wore no masks.

Sadly most people likely won't budge on this until they're told to be de authoritaaays, just like with handwashing(which BTW has not a lot of peer reviewed studies on efficacy as far as respiratory viral spread either and where it was found to be efficacious it was in conjunction with mask wearing). The same authorities have backed themselves into a corner on this one and are unlikely to back out. Like I reckoned pages back at most they'll come out with a non mandatory ah sure what's the harm, but you don't have to wear one instruction. And that's taken months to get to this stage.

The public need to be taught how to wear them and it needs to be reinforced constantly to avoid it slipping from their minds, similar to hand washing.

They said "within the next 10 days" over two weeks ago about that A reliable, anonymous contact tracing app, mask wearing and social distancing all in place would have us out and about again, as seen in South Korea. South Korea aren't even needing to test as much anymore because of how well they're doing with these measures in place. They also test and isolate people upon entering the country. It's just unreal how lethargically they're acting
