Relaxation of restrictions

Simon Harris curiously made a comment that there was a limit to how long people could put up with extreme level of restrictions as we currently have. Already we’re seeing in Italy that people are starting to get restless. So two big questions:

1) on Easter Sunday, do you think there will be further restrictions, no change with just an extension or some relaxation?

2) what will be the first thing rolled back?

My own guess would be: extension for at least 1 week. Then to allow some businesses like DIY shops to reopen, perhaps allow gatherings of 2/3 people, maybe a token increase on 2km.

They are breaking the restrictions set down to beat the virus by the government.

If you don't want to pass their details on fair enough but they will be contributing towards the extension of the soft lockdown and putting the health service under more pressure in the weeks to come.

But of course they know best because the gubbermint are wrong.

I hope people in Ireland arent afraid to get back out there when the restrictions are eased. we can leave the people who call the guards on their neighbours where they belong, hiding in their bunkers.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been informed that 44 people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ireland have died:

33 deaths located in the east, 3 in the north west, 3 in the south and 5 in the west of the country
the deaths included 19 females and 25 males
the median age of today’s reported deaths is 84
25 people were reported as having underlying health conditions.

They usually mention in the last 24hrs but that's not there today.

Once again though: the conclusions are wrong, softheaded pap!

They give out to Toby Young for using life expectancy at birth, rather than life expectancy at age X, but admit earlier in the article that two-thirds of the people this lockdown is saving would have died within a year anyway. You can get most things that you could before the lockdown if you know the right people. Simple things, like haircuts. I've met loads of people in the last week and they're all keen to ease up on the restrictions, they'll go mad if they don't.
