Given my details, ABRP had me bypassing my destination in order to charge from 19% to 81%, just so I arrived at my destination/waypoint with more than 20%. Regardless of ABRP, i'll likely always charge to 80% when fast charging. Saves the range anxiety.
Black_Knight wrote: » Zero range anxiety today. Got to Shannon with plenty of range (slow traffic probably helped, though wind wasn't favourable). Guy was charging in Shannon when I landed and he headed away as soon as I landed. Destination charged in Galway while I watched Connacht win. Win win all around

Black_Knight wrote: Dyke road EV charger has a "have you paid and displayed" sign on the sign which says EV parking only. I paid. So did the leaf beside me. If there's an overstay fee in the Pipeworks, that would be forcing me to repark my car, in potentially a full car park, where I have paid to stay for the full day. Not saying it's right to hog a charger, but over stay fees are going to be super complicated in these scenarios.
Black_Knight wrote: » Is there any way to see what councils require EVs to pay for parking? Heading to Galway at the weekend (another solo out of range trip) and i'm checking out my destination charging options. Also, any known issues with the Limerick/Shannon, Galway (and if needs be) Ennis chargers? (just checked Ennis, someone's getting an overstay fee :pac: )
McGiver wrote: » I agree it could be complicated. The solution is obviously to make all EV spots free of charge in all local authorities (if it's not a charger at a private car park) But regarding the parking fee, I had asked Galway council directly, they had confirmed no fee whilst charging.
