The consultant who does my Glas and discussion group says he can look all that up for me.
amacca wrote: » Ah ok thanks, I thought you could find that out yourself. Ah tis probably not worth it in my case ....only sold about 30 in that period ....some were only around 500kg mark so probably didn't go within the 30 days Interesting that id have to get a third party involved to even find out what id be eligible for .... If I actually applied for I presume that means subtract minimum 500 off the payment.
amacca wrote: » Calved no sucklers... i rear a group of calves from time to time, does that mean I'm not eligible anyway? My point about the money was I think i can't find out how many were slaughtered within the 30 days on my own ...therefore I have to pay someone for the info at the very least so I may subtract that cost of the payment too
amacca wrote: » Yes but I asked previously if I could find out from agfood if the animals I sold in the mart had gone for slaughter within the 30 days.... it appears I cannot so I can't know what payment I would stand to get from the scheme ...or am I incorrect on this? If the info is there then I can see what I stand to get and decide if it's worthwhile or not ....if the info isn't readily available then I have to get an advisor/consultant to find out ....is that correct?
tanko wrote: » If you calved no Suckers, sent no cattle for slaughter or sold no cattle in the mart that went for slaughter within 30 days then you're not eligible. When i applied on Agfood it showed the number of cows calved here last year but it didn't show anything about the four cows i sold in the mart and were killed in the following week. Will be interesting to see if they're eligible.

Log into agfood, click on the new tab on the left hand side called exceptional aid measures. - new application and there is your info.
amacca wrote: » Hmmm...it says Im not currently eligible rather than giving me any detail on what happened the individual animals ...which normally wouldn't be of interest I suppose but is of interest now. Thing is I have a hard time believing that ...out of approx 30 animals surely one or two tustve been presented for slaughter within the 30 days? One or two were 600kg or above and I'm fairly sure they were bought by factory buyers.. there should be at least one or two within the 30 days or its unlikely there aren't lets say (but I suppose its possible) So you really can't get any details about what happened to the animals you sold through the mart you just have to take agfoods word for it that you are not eligible

I finish and have only 4 cattle in that period even though I slaughter nearly 60/year. I would get 400 euro. However I would have to reduce my nitrates by 5% from the ref period 1/7/20 to 30/6/21 compared to 1/7/18 to 30/6/19. I have two issues first in the reference period I was slaughtering cattle as fast as possible because of the drought. The second is I will have to reduce nitrates across the whole herd. Even if ref periods were comparable and I had to reduce by 5% about 3 cattle I would lose 600 euro in profit. However because I was slaughtering earlier it might be nearer a 5-6 animal equivilent. I spend more time watching stocking levels than it was worth
