Disgraceful of RTE and Virgin TV and fair play to Sky News for showing the very sad Funeral of Lyra Mckee.

May she Rest in Peace.

She did not deserve to be shot by these thugs stuck in a past that should be left behind now.

She died too soon and had so much to live for but in her short life she accomplished a lot.

My condolences to her partner, family and friends.

I've lost three immediate family members since 2014, all of them sudden and way before their time. I cannot even begin to imagine what it's like being photographed or recorded while you're saying your final goodbyes, not to mention dealing with those types of surrounding circumstances. Bizarre that people would want to watch it televised or feel that they are in someway paying their respects by doing so.

For a lot of the troubles they wouldn't have the technology to show them. And when they did, they wouldn't have the time to show them unless they cut into programming on RTE 1 & 2. And there were loads of them. so that's all we would have been watching on TV.
